Pumpkin Festival in Marion, KY

Yesterday we attended the Crittenden County Pumpkin festival!

Mollie and Bobo what is this "pumpkin festival"? They aren't going to stick us in pumpkins are they?

No silly cockapoo we are going to celebrate the fall and pawticipate in the Pets on Parade contest!

OOOH There is the official sign!

Here is where the dog festivities will begin!

I can smell the BBQ and Hot dogs.

First photo shoot of the day. Then we noticed the nice BIG set up.

Say CHEESE!

Uppy's Turn

....

The cooker! Thats where the wonderful smells were wafting from!

We got to meet lots of friendly humans.

Then we noticed they were getting the registration table set up.

Look at all the people!

While grandma and Bobo were up getting the forms Uppy done stoled Bobo's stroller. This seems to be an epidemic lately!

Look at all the categories you can enter.

All the pawticipants got bones....

Can I has one now?

...and Goody bags....

...with tennis balls, pens, lint rollers and....

...With education material on different dog breeds.

We were the first pups there and got to watch all the other arrive. Here is a lovely speckled ear basset hound.....

....A rat terrier mix....

....A lovely black and tan Min Pin....

...A big ol' boxer...He sat beside us...

....A pretty affenpincher...His shirt said he was naught but was very well behaved...

This rat terrier was so jelly over our strollers and went and found a doll stroller to ride in.

We saw Charlie Brown....

...and a UFO...

At 9:30 am the host got by her podium and said it was time to get the doggies read for the competition that starts at 10am.

So every one stipped down to their bare furs and began putting on costumes and hats.

I went as the Flapper girl!

Bobo went as the skunk and

Uncle was the GRAPE APE!

The big boxer named Harley went as Elvis.

Molly the shelter dog was the bumble bee.

This little girl was furry scared to be up infront of everyone.

This little Chihuahua was a bumble bee and sure was "fiesty". Glad that was a plush stinger.

This rat terrier mix was pretty in plaid!

Harley just standing looking fabulous!

Uncle Puppy checking out the competition.

I sneaked a sniff in on this bewitching little yorkie!

Time to strut my stuff for the judges!

After the costume portion they did the other catagories and Uncle puppy went up against the at terrier mix for biggest ears.

Awaiting the results....

The judges took so long Uppy went all froggy doggy style on them!

Harley won first for most obedient!

Bobo won GRAND for the Costume Contest! He got a medal and everything! Uncle won second for biggest ears. We couldn't get him to sit still long enough to take a pic with his ribbon. BOL

I won 3 for costume and 1st for best trick. I did my twirls and wowed the judges and the crowd!

We also bought some raffle tickets but we haven't heard back yet. So I guess these will just go in our scrapbook.

After we got home and took a good long nap we went on a scooter ride and got to see Brownie and Midnight. We told them of our amazing day.

We must have interrupted their supper time as Brownie started nibbling on my blankie midway through the story. Silly horse Blankets are not a good source of fiber!

Today we are decorating the house with lots of fun Howl-o-ween stuff. We are taking lots of pics and will share them with you all tomorrow.

Wags and Licks,
Mollie Jo, Bobo & Uncle Puppy
