Spa Day at Bubbles and Beds

Momma learned her lesson and made an appointment way in advance fur grooming. So we were able to see Annette for a Spa Day! And boy we sure have needed it. Grandma has been calling Bobo "Herman" cause of his outta control top knot. See after the last grooming we had to leave it long to cover the bald spots the bad groomer left so now its super long!

We have arrived.

We decided to coordinate leash/collars and wear pink and blue camo.

You sure you don't like the long shaggy look. I mean I kinda like it.

Well she didn't fall fur it but it was not too bad Annette treats us good when we visit and always tells momma we were good which leads to treats.

875245 hours later momma returns and frees us!

Gotta check the pee-mail....

....and leave a little note...

...or two!

Now here is the final product!!! Doesn't Herman...I mean...Bobo look cute with his little top knot. I think so.

We Have Hats

Now when I had me bad hair day drama you already saw my hat but you haven't seen the pictures from the day the hats arrived. It got kinda losted then founded. Anyhoo here ya go!

We went to check the pee pee box in hopes of finding a package and were not disappointed!!!!

Is it really our hats momma?

It sure is!!!!

Of course we had to show them off and went to the best place ever....The Bank! We did gets milk bones but got them outta the box before momma could snap a picture.

We love our hats and the hat maker was way cool to work from photos and match them to our favorite blue and pink sweaters!!!!

Monday's Mail and Milk Bones

I have been scouting ebay fur some special accessories to add to my collection. Once I found what I was looking fur I made my purchases.

This morning we went to the mail box in hopes of getting one of my items and got nothing but bills, sale ads, and junk mail. But just as I was loosing hope there was a small box way in the back and a note from our mail lady Donna. It said that one of my packages couldn't be delivered due to lack of postage.

It just so happened that I was ready to send out Fraknie and Ernie's package out so off to the Post Office we went!!!

We have arrived!

First I wanted to get my mail and see what had gone wrong. Well the seller didn't put enough postage or a return address. So in order to bail out my mail I had to pay an additional $1.85.

I made sure that when they weighed Frankie and Ernie's package it was done correctly and it got the stamp of approval and should be there soon boys!

Once I got back to the car I opened my package and inside was...

...My Lulu Pink polka dot leg warmer/scarf set! These are sure to keep me warm in winter!!!

And the other box, that had enough postage and was delivered, had a second set of leg warmers. These are fur a furry special photo shoot I have planned.

After the Post Office problems were solved we headed to the bank to make a deposit.

Please deposit that into the kibble and collar fund and I will take a milk bone please.

To my surprise I got two milk bones. I put one in mommas wallet fur safe keeping....

...and ate the other on the way home. Momma you better zip your wallet up. Don't want the boys getting me milk bone.

Taxes, Shopping and Ice Cream

Saturday started out at BerryCreative Studios. Bonnie Berry does taxes and well it is that time of year! She is dog friendly and allows Brother and me to come in while she and grandma review the tax papers. Grandma said if we were good we could gets a treat. OOOH!

We is getting some green papers back so thats good but most importantly we was very well behaved and gets a treat!

After taxes grandma had to run in Wal-E-Mart to fetch some goodies. It did take her like furevers!!!! And I gets impatient when waiting fur my treat.

Then grandma showed me what we was getting fur our treat. Its a cup of ice creams!!!!!!

OH MY DOG! OH MY DOG! OH MY DOG! It looks sooo nummy!

Fashion Friday: Petco Winter Fashion & Dining Edition

Todays edition has a twist!

Petco has stocked its shelves with these LOVELY fashionable bowls. They are stainless still interior (which I prefer) and colorful exterior.

They come in many sizes so I began the hunt to see which was right fur me and Bobo.

Really momma. Lilac could go swimming in there!

Still too big!

Thats the right size!

Now that the bowl has been selected we must move on to clothes.

Fur the girls we have:

A lovely hoodie with purple heart trim.

A red polka dot dress which is perfect for any occasion.

A SWEET pink hoodie with brown trim. I love the pink/brown color combo!

For the short hair pups there are many puffy jackets with FAUX fur trim to keep you warm.

A bold twist in fashion is this peach polka dot dress. Your sure to be a show stopper in this one!!!

Scarfs have made an appearance. I love the bone detail on this one. I do wish it came in other colors such as pink and blue.

For the boy dogs we have:

A family favorite tank.

A unique hoodie for those extra special pups.

A lovely gray hoodie with red trim. I love this one it has a grrreat message!

I think this one speaks fur itself!

One trend I see up and coming is the Horse Blanket style jacket. Its an odd style not seen very much. Although this one is a bit plain I have seen a few fun styles in other fashion magazines (Jeffers Pet).

Now while I was here I picked up a few things to add to my collection.

This beautiful pink and white beaded Necklace is quite the hot fashion accessory for the girls this season.

And my personal favorite winter clothing item is this pink polkadot zipper vest.

Can I get one of these too momma?

I think we have sufficient goods!

In the cart you can see some black boots. I got the Howl-o-ween Witch Boots on sale. It was the last pair!!!!

Introducing Doodle the Dummy Dog

Yep we added a new doggie to the family. Her name is Doodle and she is a purebred dummy dog. We had been searching for months for a dummy dog to add to our family and to help us model collars and tags. One mild January day when I stopped in a little re-sale shop there she was sitting on the shelf waiting to be adopted. Can you belive that?!?!?! I wish I had pictures but momma didn't have her camera that day (shameful). Anyhoo she is fitting in great and is already doing what she does best, modeling. When our Yellow Dog Design order came in we knew she was the dog fur the job! Look at her...perfect form, tail held high, ears forward!

Please note this new order of collars was included in our previous collar count so no need to do refiguring. BOL For your convenience we have also added a "Collar Counter" to the side bar. Whenever we get a new collar, leash or harness it will be pupdated.

Cinnamon Goes Home

After her spay Cinnamon had recovered quickly. And as her furs started growing back in and her potty training improved momma put her on Petfinder.com. After sharing her petfinder page our neighbor and Tinkerbell's mom saw Cinnamon on momma's Facebook and said "Oh I know of a family that would like adopt". Well the next day the new family called, put in an application and well Cinnamon was adopted. She lives in the next town over with a BIG ol lab named Sandy and from what we hear she is doing great! She is staying on her benedryl and her paws keep gaining furs (She has been adopted for 8 whole days as of this post). Momma hopes to go visit her in the next month and of course we will have pictures to share!

Foster momma you sure I is going to like this place I is going too?

The last two fosters have been adopted quickly, which for me is a good thing as I now have my mom all to myself again. We hope 2012 will bring more great adoptions for all the pups in the shelters/rescues!!!!

Monday Morning Errand

A few weeks ago we got a blue doggie sized table and chair set. Oh and Milshelb yes they are from Ikea. So we could do indoor photo shoots and such. Well momma has always hated the lighting when we do indoor shots so she did some research and found out there are new light bulbs called Compact Florescent Lights (CFL) and have a special style called "daylight bulbs". So I hopped in the car and we...

...went to my favorite home improvement store. LOWES.

My my there are so many lights bulbs of all shapes and sizes. Who knew?!?!?!

Hey that package says "daylight".

According to the internets they put extra brightness in them so you get a bright white light.

We paid the lady some green papers and got our bulbs.

On the way out I spotted a super fun looking play set. I asked momma but she said it wouldn't fit in the car.

So when we got home we replaced the old incandescent bulb, seen here, with the new CFL Daylight bulb and whoa puppies did it make a difference. Our indoor shots not longer have that yellow tint.

Now I don't recommend these "daylight" bulbs for everyday use. They are super bright but for photo shoots, home studios, or crafting rooms they are the best!! I also like how they fill the entire room with light.

Plus the new CFL bulbs are curly as a pugs tail which is too cute! BOL

Lilac is HOME!!!

You read the title right Lilac is home! Uncle Puppy found her at his house and took him straight to Doggy Nanny. I do kinda feel bad bouts blaming him but you have seen the trail of distruction before. Anyhoo! Lilac told me that she got scared when we were doing a photo shoot and ran and hid. Then we left and she didn't know what to do so she wandered around for days lonely and frightened. I missed her very much and I am so happy to have her back. She did sustain some injuries during her time away. She has a sprained leg and has a badly damaged ear. I used my first aid kit to bandage her up.

Then I wrote a note to Uncle Puppy...

...and bought a box of Milkbones as his reward.

Good Bye Uncle Puppy

On the Lilac front, no new leads. Along with my blog furiends I too think a certain large cockapoo had something to do with it! And look at the mess he has made with my toys while he has been staying here. Momma has been has been cleaning up twice a day. hmmm...Has sheep been on his menu?

In other news...

This morning you will never believe who called! Yep Doggy Nanny. She is almost home!!!

So I went to wake Uncle Puppy from his nap and told him the good news.

Oh boy Oh boy my momma and daddy are coming home! Lets go!

It was such an emotional reunion that Uncle Puppy had a tinkle accident in the kitchen. BOL the boy missed his momma!

Doggy Nanny brought back many cool things from her trip.

They went to Florida and saw the "Doodle Boys". They are way awsome pooches that pose for pics and the money collected goes to a charity.

Doggy Nanny also brought back toys! Good thing as we needed a fresh supply.

No? Are you sure? Well Doggy Nanny cut one up and can you believe its a fruit called tangerine?!!? Hmmm...Not as exciting as a tennis ball but Grandma seemed to like them.

I think I will stick to the CHEESE PRETZEL!

Hotel with 4 Dogs

A couple of nights ago we had some pretty ruff weather coming our way so as you all know we can't stay in the tin box we call home during storms and off to the hotel we went. Now this wasn't your average hotel night we had 2 squatters with us. YIKES!

Hurry open that door my furs can't get wet!!!!

No sooner than we got in and seated the rain poured and the wind blew with furry!

Uncle Puppy was quite fascinated with the activity of people walking by his window.

With torn-ma-does watches being placed over the entire area we put all of our belongings in the bathroom and put a blanket in the tub just in case we had to dive in. Then we sat and waited fur the storms to hit...

...and we put a leash on Uncle Puppy as he is not known for his listening skills. If we had to take cover we would be able to get him in there quickly.

Torn-ma-does Warnings came up all around us but never in our counties. Thank DOG!

Around Midnight all the weather had moved East and out of our area. We were safe so we unleashed everyone and got ready fur bed. Cinnamon was curious as to what to do next, this was all new to her. Guess her last mommy never took her to a hotel.

We refereed her to Uncle Puppy.
Its sleepy time tiny one!

And he is out!!!!!

Well going to the hotel with 4 dogs was not as bad as we imagined but not something we hope to do in the near future. BOL

Lilac: Still Missing

Missing Sheep Alert!!!

APB: LOST Sheep Alert! Lilac (pictured below) is missing. I is very worried about her! She is about 4 inches tall and has curly purple furs. She was last seen Saturday morning Jan 21st 2012. She was helping us pack to go for a photo shoot and has not been seen since. At the time of her disappearance she was not wearing a collar/tag and is not microchipped!!!!

I am willing to pay 250 milk bones for her safe return.

My name is Mollie Jo. I am an 11 yr old rescue poodle. I lived my first years as a breeding dog, once I was rescued at the age of 3 I found my love of modeling, blogging and TOYS! I love your tv commercials with the two shopping doggies. I myself am a doggie shopper and love that you are a dog friendly store. My favorite aisle is the toy aisle.
On the other paw, I am very well trained...
...and love to dance.
Over the years I have met the WKYQ bunny, Jennifer Horbelt (news anchor of WPSD Local 6), and Shorty Rossi (Animal Planet's Pit Boss). One of my dreams would be to be in one of your commercials. I do have experience on set and in front of the camera.

If you ever need another doggie for your commercials please keep me in mind!

Grooming Gone Wrong

Usually momma grooms us but we had a photoshoot to do and since it was last minute we couldn't go to Mrs. Annette as she was out of appointments. So we went to a new grooming salon. Now its a furry bad memory so we shall let momma tell you bouts it.

I hated to to use a new groomer but they needed to be groomed for a bunch of new photo shoots and I wanted a professional groom for the shoots. So we made an appointment, packed up the doggie bag...

...and headed out.

Mollie was so cute sleeping on the ride over.

Just before 8AM we arrived at Wren's Pet Lodge. We used to take them here but since then a new owner has taken over.

After they checked the pee-mail we headed inside.

The place looked clean, they used a hand dryer instead of a box dryer, the groomer was very friendly and listened to what we wanted done. I felt good about leaving them there.

A couple of hours later the groomer called and said they were ready. When I arrived I saw Mollie sitting by her self and Bobo was no where to be found. When the groomer came up front she said Mollie had pooped in the cage and Bobo had to be moved to another cage. I know she didn't have to use the bathroom as that morning she ate breakfast and pooped when I took her out. So something there upset her so bad that she had diarrhea in her cage. Upon closer inspection of this photo Mollie is sitting on wire bottom floor which at 11 years old should not be happening. The groomer said the blanket we brought for them to sit on had been pooped on so it was being washed.

And this pic speaks for itself of what Bobo thought of the place. LOL

Of course Mollie is not to be left out.

Once we got them home I looked at the groom job more carefully and was shocked. It didn't look as though she even put a blade to their legs, paws or under arms. It looked like a rush job and they smelled as though they didn't get a bath. Then I looked at their topknots and was sick. The entire back of Mollie's topknot was shaved extremely close, it was uneven and one ear was WAY shorter than the other. Bobo had a half dollar sized shaved spot in his top knot. Thankfully he had enough topknot left to do a comb over and its not too visible. The rest of the day Mollie's tummy was upset. The blanket we took was not cleaned just stuffed in a bag with the mess still all over it. Sadly it had to be tossed in the garbage.

I talked with my mom (Mollie and Bobo's Grandma) about the situation and she agreed that we should seek a refund. So I went back with Mollie and Bobo and they did not even want to enter the building, they stepped back and pulled away. I told her what I found and she agreed to give me a full refund. I hate going and complaining but $60 for a bad hair cut is no not right! As we opened the door to leave Mollie pulled so hard to get out of the building that she yanked the leash right out of my hand and went straight for the car door. Mollie is normally extremely good on the leash.

The following Monday I had to groom them myself. When I got the clippers out and put them on the table all did they was shake through the entire process. Which is not normal for them.

Not only did she do a horrible job in grooming my dogs but she either hurt or scared them to the point that Mollie was literally sick.

After grooming them I didn't know how to fix Mollie's top knot so I made an appointment with Mrs. Annette for the following week.

Since having my bad hair cut I had to wear a hat everywhere I went. Even for a quick pee pee run.

Thankfully Mrs. Annette was able to squeeze me in and do rehab on me head!

We're here!

I gots a bit nervous when I walked in thinking bouts my last experience but Mrs. Annette said she would take good care of me.

35 Minutes later I was done and ready to show off my new do!

But before we left I had to leave a quick pee mail.

Then...

*S-T-R-E-T-C-H*

And rub!

I feel good...and look good too!!!

So good...Oh Yea!!!!

One last rub!!!!

So hopefully momma has learned her lesson....PLAN AHEAD and DON'T USE NEW GROOMERS! Anyhoo I am happy to be hat free now.

A Plea from Uncle Puppy

Dearest Tiny Sweet Beautiful Mollie Jo,

My momma done packed a bag, gots a new car and left me high and dry with no momma or home. Will you let me crash here till she gets back?

i brought all of the essentials. My bodyless monkey toy, my face & leg less cat toy, trunkless elephant toy, half fur less tennis ball, brand new tennis ball, pooh bear blanket (although i seem to have chewed off and lost the pooh bear portion), and green papers. We can buy some treats, kibble or pizza with the green papers i is not picky.

So can i stay Mollie?

A Pinch of Cinnamon

Earlier this month momma received an email from an owner that had a Chihuahua that needed placement. As with all of our squatters momma goes to temperament test them to make sure they are not people aggressive. When they arrived she showed no people aggression what so ever.

However when momma saw this poor little thing and the condition she was in she agreed to take her into our rescue.

The first thing momma noticed was she was underweight, had red irritated skin....

...scabs all over her legs...

...and little to no furs on her feets!

Momma called Melissa at the Vet and asked if they could get her in immediately to be examined.

What you mean "VET" and "Examined"???

Melissa said that they could squeeze her in so off to the vet we went!

Ummm Lady what ya doin do me backside?

OUCH MY NECK! NOT MY TOES!!!!!

Where is that blue stuff goin?

Needles? Medicine? Heartworm test? Skin Test? Benedryl? What are all these words?

Well Dr. Flanary said that she didn't look as though she had mange and that it was probably allergies. So she said to get her on a good quality food and daily benedryl. She would do a skin test when she came back for her spay. Next on the agenda was heartworm test and that came back NEGATIVE. Last but not least was vaccines! Oh boy did she scream. Whew my ears are still ringing!

After that momma took her to Sonic for a cup of water. She loved it!!!!

Poodles why you not warn me of this "Vet" place?

On the way home she kept posing fur the momma....Camera HOG!

Just as we were about to pull in the drive way she laid down fur a nap.

Cinnamon seems to be settling in quite nice but she does growl at us which is completely rude. We are sharing our house with HER!

On one recent outing she showed her true colors to grandma.

It takes only seconds for her to go in for the kill.

Yep she is a burger bandit and done took a bite outta grandmas hamburger!

On her one week anniversary (yea momma's bad about posting sometimes) we noticed her feets were getting better. Simply adding good quality food and benedryl has helped!

That afternoon we return to the vet clinic to fetch the squatter.

Her spay and dental went well but she did have to have a retained baby tooth pulled. It was causing major tartar build up and yuckyness (MOLLIE-ISM). Her skin test revealed a bacterial and yeast infection so we she will need medicated baths once a week. Hope momma don't get no ideas that we need baths once a week.

Mollie can you lead the way?

I is a bit sleepy but doing goods.

AYE CHIHUAHUA Its more medicine!!!

Well at least with all the medicine she takes nothing will get her!! Now she rests while her tummy heals. I am in charge of making sure all the proper medicine is given in proper doeses. So I might have to dig out my Howl-o-ween nurse costume. BOL

She is officially on Petfinder.com now and we are hoping to get some interested families soon but after 48 hours of being on the site we have had nothing. Not one call! Any ideas?

Well just after momma rescued me we were big on yard sales but after a few hours I got tired and when she saw a stroller in Petsmart she knew this would be great fur me. The instant momma put me in it I loved it. Since buying my first stoller I ride pretty much everywhere!!! The ride is smooth and I keep my favorite camo blankie inside. Bobo was so jealous of my ride he had to have one of his own. So now we are a two stroller family. We have never offered to jump out or anything. We love our strollers.

Wow Tank thats a big question! Since we have something called "Collar Buckets" you may already know we have a pretty large collection. Collar Buckets are snapware style buckets that house our massive collar/leash/harness collection. After much counting and the use of mommas fancy TI-83 calculator we have the final tally...

We do have our own jewelry box. The charms (Mostly Petco Grooming Charms) are stored in the bottom portion in the clear boxes. Our tags (The ones that are engraved) are stored up top. Each tag is in a tiny plastic bag so they don't get all banged up and then each little bag is put in a zipper bag by category. The categories include Howl-i-day, Bobo, Mollie and Other. We are super organized. But with this many tags you must be organized.

Fine question, we use a fine tooth comb. First we brush the ears down to make sure that any tangles are gone then brush the ears in the opposite direction to create the floof. We also use oatmeal shampoo it cleans well and gives our furs extra volume!!!

We used to go every 8 weeks to Mrs Annette of Bubbles and Beds but momma kept hearing horror stories of doggies dying in the care of their groomers (not Mrs Annette though) so she decided to start grooming us herself. In AUG 2009 she began the journey of grooming. She learned all of her skills from you tube. Every now and then we go back to Mrs Annette when momma needs a break.

Well I have always loved clothes, collars and dressing up. Some pups are born that way. One thing I can think of get out the clothes and treats. Every time your momma insists on dressing you, make sure you insist that you get a nummy treat like CHEESE. Soon you be comfortable with clothes cause you get nummies.

Conclusion to the Toofer Story

Well after 224 hours momma finally came to retrieve us.

Our bloodwork came back with good numbers.

We had stage one toofers. Which means we only had some staining and inflamed gums. But we both had to have 1 toofer removed.

Here is Bobo's before and after shots. He has some big ol' toofers doesn't' he?

And here are my before and after shots. Just look at them clean toofers!!!

Once we reviewed the paperwork we headed up front. We paid using our dental vouchers.

Then we made a beeline for the car!!! Bobo the car is this way!

Alright momma one picture and we are going home. We still feel sleepy!

Mango Minster Entry: Mollie Jo is Too Darn Cute

I can't believe its that time again! Its time for Mango Minster!!!! Its only the most paw-some show in all of Blogville!

Now there are so many wonderful categories, you must be asking how does one choose?

On occasion I am known to throw a fit and could be considered a BAD SPORT.

I do love adventures so could be considered an ADVENTURE ANIMAL.

However...

I am throwing my paw into this race under the TOO DARN CUTE category.

Why you ask.

Because no matter whether I am riding around in my scooter basket...

....Grillin'....

...Playing ball...

...or playing in the snow I am just TOO DARN CUTE!!!!

Even when my ears went from floofy to short and sassy puppy cut I remained TOO DARN CUTE and bordered on WAY TOO CUTE!!!!

It's Time to Clean our Toofers

Well we are starting off the year at the vets office. YIKES!

Seems Momma made us an appointment today to our toofers cleaned.

First we had to get weighed. Combined total was 26.2 pounds. Separate totals were 11.1 and 15.1.

Then we had to have a seat and wait to be called back. I was giving momma the stink eye. This is not the way to ring in the new year!!!

Oh no they have called us. Bobo lets go this way!

Once in the room we had to go over the usual forms, check the boxes, sign mommas name, and so on.

Then Melissa took our leashes and ~~drug our most fragile poodle bodies~~ carried us to the surgery prep room.

2011 A Year in Review & POST 700

Can you believe its almost 2012? I can't! It seems as though this year has flown by!!!! We wanted to do a "Year in Review" post to remember some of the best moments of 2011. Oh and guess what?!!?!?! This is post number 700! How cool milkbones!

2011 started with momma having to make a big decision about a tiny girl named Olivia. She was our first official adopted dog of 2011.

We participated in Mango-Minster.

And when I visited the Mango estate, strange things occurred!!!!

We had tons of snow....

...Which led to lots of snow play!

Our next rescue was Humphrey, another Maltese. He was quite the character!!

The spring time temps were wonderful and we had lots of ball time.

Uncle Puppy finally quit growing and has topped out at 32.5 pounds. Whew!

The next rescue turned into a three dog rescue. Starting with Joey, an ex-breeding dog.

We got a tip the breeder had another poodle that was up for the taking so we got her too but...

...There was just one more....Oh my dog.

In the midst of the "triplets" we still made time to grill...

...Go to pawties...

...sew...

...Puppysit a Shiba Inu...

...and make several trips to PETCO!!!

In May momma got the chance to rescue Olivia's puppy and she feel in love again. But again she decided to let her be adopted.

And now mother and daughter are reunited. They live together in Memphis. From what we hear they are having the time of their life!!!

We ended up at the vet more times that we can count.

I was always dressed to impress!

And one more than one occasion momma took more dogs than she should have. One time we ended up with 6 dogs and two people.

We had vaccinations, paw-ti-cures and check-ups. But once we had to have our heads shrunk!!!!

We had major rains...

...which led to major flooding.

We had to live at the hotel for two weeks!

Uncle Puppy killed the wrong toy and ended up on a Wanted poster.

And we had to do snake surgery.

There was many shaving sessions...

...and one turned ugly when grandma shaved off my floofy ears!

Thankfully they have grown out some now and are short and cute!

We visited Karla's Tropical Sno quite frequently! I still don't know why momma likes yellow sno!

Dogster chose me as Dog of the Day!!!

This year I turned 11 this year and Bobo turned 9.

We had a super scary boat ride which led to a 5 hour rescue mission.

We got to see the Oscar Mayer Mobile...

...We met Shorty Rossi AKA PIT BOSS!

Then I got stuffed in a truck!

We had many fun purchases this year...
...Bobo got his Camo Stroller...

...And I got a Scooter basket!!!

And best of all our IPHONE!!!

Then Christmas came and we had a flurry of photoshoots!

All was quite around our house....

Then Tinkerbell joined the pack.

BOL We almost made it through the howl-i-days without a foster!!!

My favorite memory of 2011 was my day at WPSD Local 6 and sitting with Anchor Jennifer Horbelt!

It was a pups dream come true!

Wow 2011 was pawsome and we had fun and can't wait to see what 2012 brings us!

A Happy Ending for Tinkerbell

During her stay Tinkerbell fit right in with us.

In fact she fit in a little too well she wore my sweaters...

...played with my toys and took my recliner. Notice my bewildered look!

Then she my most favorite warm green blanket!

MEANTIME!
When our neighbors saw her picture on Facebook they fell in love with her and asked if they could take her home for a play date. Momma agreed and when they brought her back they had nothing but rave reviews! The whole family including Buster (their current yorkie) loved her!

After many discussions with the neighbors, we felt this was the perfect place for Tinkerbell. So...

...Once she had her spay and had recovered (while in my chair, I might add)...

...it was time for her adoption to be finalized. She was officially adopted on December 19th, 2011. Just in time for Christmas. YEA!

Here is a pic her new family took last night with her dad and brother Buster.

Post-Christmas Petco Run

There was a rumor that there were new charms out so we headed for Petco in Carbondale!!!

The rumors were true, the grooming department had the new January charms out. Its a best in show ribbon! Bonus the Quick-tag machine had a MUPPETS tag!

I slipped these in the cart when momma wasn't looking. Aren't they pawsome???

Then we headed to a fun place called Party City.

They had tons of decorations for each and every occasion!

We got our goods and...

...headed for the check out. OOOH Chocolate!

Once we got home we found something in the trunk. Grandma must have got this when she went back in the store. We must do a review on this soon!

Last night we left out Cookies and Milk fur Santa Paws.

WOW! Look at all the gifts. Santa Paws must have LOVED the cookies!

I got a pink cherry dress, a sailor dress, a "Works for Treats" tank, a red bone leash/collar set, a pink swirl collar, sock doggie toy and a patchwork quilt!!!

I got a treat puzzle, food bowl, pawsome blue bone leash/collar set, pawsome blue polkadot leash/collar set and a new puppy quilt!

I got a Rudolph?

Oh thats right I am scared of him! AAAAAH!

With all the fun and presents it may be easy to furget but....

A Letter to Santa Paws

Dear Santa Paws,
I have been a very good girl this year. I minded my manners, helped take care of the ~~squatters~~ foster pups, and kept my brother Bobo in line. For Christmas I would like the dress I saw online (the one with the Cherries on it), a pink Hummer (like the one I saw at the co-op), chew proof toys and that bed with the heating element.

Hey it's me Bobo I have been a good boy and I would like that cool blue polka dot collar/leash set I saw at petsmart and CHEESE!!!!

Christmas is a time of Giving...

Christmas is a time for giving and we wanted to give to some of the people who have helped us this year.

So we paw-ed through the cook books and found a recipe for Oatmeal Raisin Spice cookies.

Then we put all the ingredients into these jars...

...printed labels and a recipe cards...

...and TA DA! We made one for each neighbor and for the entire staff of Flanary Vet Clinic.

Since Dog-tor Flanary has helped us so much this year with the squatters we made her a special basket and filled it with goodies for her and her furkids!

The whole staff was oohing and aahing when we brought in the box of goodies!!!

Christmas Lights

Its an annual tradition to go see the lights every year.

We started out in Reidland.

Street after street there were lovely displays. Some even played music! Very Festive!!!

Some of our favorites include the toy shop...

...and the pond! Look at the duck and her little ducklings! Awww!

Then we hit the big one. The Christmas Light display in Noble Park.

Hey look the Paducah Bank is a sponsor. Cool Milk Bones!

Admission is free but they do take donations for the food pantry so we brought some canned food.

Cards, Packages and the Post Office

Oh how I do love Christmas and all of the fun tasks that go with it. Such as making, addressing and sending Christmas cards. Lilac was a furry special helper and read all the names and address to me.

In no time at all we were done!

Snack time

The next morning we woke up furry early and headed for...

...The Symsonia Post Office! My favorite place.

They are the official shipper of the howl-idays you know.

We were in the midst of the shipping season so we had to stand in line, but I didn't mind at all.

During our wait inline we read the holiday shopping guide and snagged a sticker for my book.

When we reached the front of the line we weighed the bags...

...and packed them nice and tight!

And took a quick photo before it headed to the sorting machine.

After that we put stamps on all the cards and sent them on their way.

All out of town!

Before leaving we checked the pee-pee box.

Christmas at the Humane Society of Marshall County

For years its been a tradition to visit the Humane Society of Marshall County for a Christmas photoshoot!

Its a furry long drive so I took a nap.

Momma loves this shot.

Bobo tried to resist napping but couldn't help it!

Once inside we got checked in...

Once I saw the beautiful set up I decided to....

...Meanwhile Uncle Puppy (or Uncle Kracker as the photographer calls him) spotted a puppy outside!

All too soon the photo shoot was over and we got our CD's.

We loaded them up on the YAP-top and here is the end result...

Spay-Day Saturday

Yesterday was the big day. It was time for Tinkerbell's S-P-A-Y!
We walked Tinkerbell in the clinic.

And got her checked in.

Melissa yous gonna do whats to me tummy?!?!?!?!

What was that noise?????

Once they filled out the papers and took her back...We high tailed it for the car!!!

That afternoon we got the call she had come through surgery and was doing well. whew!

Now fast forward to today.
We return to the Vet clinic to fetch Tinkerbell.

They are sure making us wait a long time.

Wait why is the vet tech calling our name?

Seems a momma did a sneaky thing and scheduled our toe nail trim for today as well as Tinkerbell's pick up.

Excuse you...thats me lip your pulling!

*CLIP* *CLIP* *CLIP*

While Bobo was on the table Uncle Puppy and I tried our best to open the door with our minds. Didn't work!

Oh NO! My turn

I tried to hide...

...but she got me anyway!

um...lady...are you gonna hurts me? I'm just a little boy!

*sniffle* My foot!

Vet Tech what do you mean the doctor wants to see us?!?!?!!?

I hid under the stool but the vet still found me! Bobo there is no more room here buddy!

I did get brave and come out for a pet or two. Seems this is a new vet at our clinic and she just wanted to meet us.

Then she got Tinkerbell's release papers.

Then she got Tinkerbell. She looks so sad!

But once outside she was ready to go.

Thanks for all the prayers for her during her spay. Now we have been keeping a secret. Tinkerbell has been going on "play-dates" with our neighbors. And ya know what? They are going to adopt her. She will be our neighbor!!!! How cool paws is that?

And in other news Uncle Puppy didn't tinkle this time. YEA!!!

Today we have the Winter and Christmas line from Petsmart. They have many soft warm hoodies in all colors of the rainbow!!!

For the happy boys a Mr Happy Shirt!

For the snow bunnies among us.

And for those girls who aspire to be on tv!

This one is one of my personal faves! I love the purple shirt with multi-colored design.

Although this one looks more fun. Every girl likes to be naughty!

Animal prints made a small appearance this season.

And it wouldn't be a Fashion Friday without a Tutu!

And for the royal pups this crown dress would be perfect!!!

I was very pleased to see the basic sweater had a fun design and came in Grey and Red.

For Christmas wear pups had the choice of Reindeer,

And this hot little number! Love the single snowflake and the glitter skirt!

But the #1 pick for Christmas wear and my personal purchase was this tree inspired dress! Its sure to be a stunner at any pawty!

Now its time for accessories.

Pink heart socks are sure to keep all the girls paws warm this winter.

Petsmart went all out on bows this season, pink skull, leopard, basic black, pink and purple. They are sure to have a bow to match any attire!

And for Christmas what else but a reindeer bow?!?!?!?!

Petsmart has a lot to offer! So be sure to get your new winter wear before they are all gone. And as always make sure you go with your pawrent to try them on to ensure a proper fit.

A Poodle Prayer for the Houston Pittie Pack

Today we learned that a fire destroyed Sandra and the Pittie Packs home in Houston. They lost their home along with 5 pack members. Thankfully the humans, Brinks, and Bella were able to escape. We send power of the paw and many poodle prayers for them and hope you will as well.

Santa Paws Visits Dog-tor Flanary's Clinic

Well we heard a rumor that Santa Paws would be visiting Dog-tor Flanary's clinic so we made sure to stop by.

Christmas at Cozy Living Furniture Store???

A local furniture store was hosting a furry food drive and made this Santa Paws Dog House to be part of the advertising. Momma called ahead to ok us coming in and Ta Da! We were in!!!!

And then it was my turn! We got praised by the staff for being well behaved, Momma was so proud!!!!

On the way home we saw this disturbing sign at Chick-Fil-A. No toys for Beef eaters! What the POODLE! We like beef but we also like toys. Whats a dog to do?

Santa Claws Event at Petsmart

Yes we visited Petsmart for a photoshoot. You may remember our October ordeal but we got there bright and early and ensured there were frames before hopping in line.

We are ready fur our close ups!

Amy from the Graves County Shelter was the photographer today and she did a fantastic job!!!

As we waited for our picture we heard snorting noises...

...OH MY DOG its a PIG! This is the second pig we have met and ooh was she cute!

After pictures and pigs we were thirsty!!!

We strolled around the store a bit too but didn't find anything.

Awww ain't we cute?!?!?! And the frame is PAWsome!

Tinkerbell's Vet Visit

Well yesterday afternoon we headed to the vets office to get the squatter vet checked. Look at that...

Well she didn't care for the vet or vet tech poking, prodding, and putting things in her ears but she came back clean. YEA!!!! The vet couldn't understand why she acted the way she did in her previous home but here is eating, drinking, and other normal doggie functions here so all is well. We do have two good applicants already. So looks like after her spay she might be adopted and be home for Christmas!!! YES!

Before we left Dogtor Flanary gave momma this....

Fluffy Neighbor Dog

We had some excitement today. We had a Good Samaritan find this fluffy dog running down our road. He had his leash attached and so he tied him to our porch. I guess the 4 dog heads in the window told him he would likely live here. BOL! But we have no room for more squatters! Momma took his pic and was bouts to call the neighbors when his momma drove up. His name is Fluffy and he was bouts to gets a bath and took off!!!! But he is now back with his family and probably clean now. Poor baby! BOL

Momma Broke the LAW

Yep you heard me right! Dr. Jones done laid down the law that we should not take on any more fosters due to Bobo's "Anxiety". So what does momma do? Goes and gets another dog. I tell you I know an officer of the law and I ain't afraid to call him. I think I have a good case!!!
But anyhoo! Here is the newest squatter. Her pawrents couldn't care for her anymore so they surrendered her to us. She also has not been eating well and just plain feeling yucky. So we are going to get her to the vet asap. Momma thinks its just food allergies.

Would ya look at this done giving me toys away to a squatter!!! Shameful!!!

It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas

Welcome to December efurryone! We have been getting ready fur Christmas and the Holiday Season all day!

The first thing we did was gather all the Christmas Charms...

...and we can't furget the Christmas Collars!

With some help from grandma we pulled all the Christmas decorations out of the storage closet!

OOH Christmas toys!

We found ornaments, pails and boxes OH MY!

Then we pulled out the singing dog stocking. Uncle Puppy ran for his little cockapoo life!

We showed it to him through out the day his eyes bugged out every time. BOL

That made fur a tired Uncle Puppy.

Then grandma turned her attention to me and wrapped me in the lights.

Then it was Bobo's turn!
Momma can't you unwrap me and wrap Uncle Puppy?

Poor Uncle Puppy didn't like being a tree!

After I stopped laughing we went to check the mail and oooh a present with my name on it from Miss Madi!!!

Sadly momma wouldn't let me open it so we stopped by the pee pee box to see if we had any thing in there. Nope nothing but we did see that the Postal Service was getting ready fur Christmas as well. Can't wait to come back and mail our gifts and cards!!!

Once we got back home we finished decorating the tree and we had to get our groom on!

Gotta look nice this weekend fur Santa Paws!

Momma worked for an hour trying to make my topknot look beautiful but sadly she made it look worse. So she called a professional and I have an appointment tomorrow morning to see what can be done. I can't go to see Santa Paws with a misshaping topknot!

But to my delight by the time I was done on the grooming table it was snowing!

The snow didn't stick but it was fun to look at! We hope your houses are filled with as much Christmas and Holiday Cheer as ours is now!

We were just sitting on the porch this morning when momma said "Let's go check the mail!"

Got the usual bills and junk mail, but there was one large white envelope that had a Petsmart logo. Hmmm....

We opened it up and what do ya know it was the 2011 Howl-o-ween photo frame.

We had pawed them an email about what happened and they said they were furry sorry and would make it right.

Thank you Petsmart!!!!

Scootering Sunday

Once we did make it home we hopped in the car and ran to the dollar store to get some people stuffs and momma got me this...A NEW TOY!!!! Love it!

Thinking on Saturday

As the fall weather is drawing to an end and Winter is headed our way, I was thinking a lot of changes are coming our way.

The bees and other yucky bugs will no longer be invading our space.

Grooming the yard will be come a distant memory.

As we were looking for a picture of the mower we found a whole set of photos in the "To be Blogged" folder that we furgot to post a few months ago. So here we go...

I hope those aren't the new dog grooming clippers!!!!

Whats going on over there?

Mollie they are taking all the sticks from the yard! I will have no sticks to eat!

During the lawn grooming process the big mower died and we had to call in back up to get it started again!

After grandma finished mowing we got the burn pile ready....

...and had us a fire!

As much fun as grooming the yard is I am looking forward to Christmas, snow, and Santa Paws! But for now we are heading home after our walk. Ooh look the Rosin Horses!

Happy Thanksgiving

Every year as Thanksgiving comes around we stop to think about all of the wonderful things in our lives that we have to be thankful for.

So here are our lists of the things we are Thankful for!

...a relaxed life, a home (not a breeding cage), momma, grandma, Doggy Nanny, toys, a nice warm bed, nummy treats, toys, my collars, my tags, my wardrobe, the fuzzy heating pad, good food and TOYS!!!!

...grandma being home for a whole day, great food, a big yard to play in, a comfy bed, my momma, Doggy nanny and especially my grandma!!!!

...two fun places to live, Mollie, Bobo, mom and dad, my big yard, sticks, bugs, squirrels, and toys!

Now its time for some post nummy food wrestling! Let the games begin!!!!!!!

Errands, Feathers, Collars and Cans

After the Furry Friends Food Drive we went to Petsmart where a kind lady was handing out treat samples. Two 2-legged boys came up and wanted to feed us and momma said it was ok. So I twirled fur them...

Bobo not so much he just kind stood there...

After the treat fun we hit the treat aisle to stock up!

And would ya look at that they are on sale and there was a coupon. We may not be extreme coupon-ers but we sure like to use 'em when we find 'em.

While at Petsmart Momma had some mental distress when we she noticed the new Christmas collars had charms. There were 4 different ones and they were $11.99 each. She had decisions to make. She only bought one and when she got to the car saw they were on sale for $7 she went back in and got the others. YEA we got 4 new charms and collars to add to our collection.

Grandma had to buy something at Hobby Lobby so we headed there next. Momma waited in the car with us and when grandma came out look what she found for me. Polka dot feathers! Oh my dog! I will so be the best looking dog in all of Ken-tuck-EE! I will be doing a full Fashion Friday report on feather extensions soon.

After Hobby Lobby we went all the way across two counties to the Marshall County Co-op in search of canning jars for some Christmas *thing* grandma has planned. But first we played on the fun scale.

Then took a stroll down the toy aisle. Ooh so many good things I could put on my list to Santa Paws!!!

Grandma did find what she was looking for and here it is. Not sure exactly what she is going to can this time of year but anyhoo.

Everyone at the co-op loved our feathers!!!

As we were leaving look what we saw! A hot pink hummer. Doesn't get much cooler than that!!!

2011 Furry Friends Food Drive

Dogtor Flanary's furkids Maddi, Polly & Fancy are hosting the Furry Friends Food Drive again this year.

So we got all dressed up, had momma pick up some food at the store, and...

...headed to the vet clinic.

WOW they have received tons of donations! This is going to fill a lot of tummies this winter.

Snake Surgery

My pink snake was a clearance snake from Petsmart. She was the only little pink snake so I brought her home.

Here is a picture of me playing with her just after I got her.

As you remember from yesterdays post that cockapoo done bit her right in half. Thankfully it was a clean break and momma said surgery was an option.

We cleaned the wound, gave her a slight tummy tuck, and...

...Momma got to work.

The surgery went well and she is now back in one piece.

Thank you momma!

She does have some swelling but all in all she looks good.

Its hard seeing my little pink snake with all them stitches.

I have forgiven the cockapoo for now but see I have a firm paw on my snake. And still giving thought to the muzzle law.

Cockapoo: Destroyer of Toys

I was looking though my toy box the other day to see which toy would be suitable for chasing indoors while its raining and I noticed that most of my toys look like they belong on the island of misfit toys. Most have no heads, missing limbs, or are shredded beyond recognition.

The condition of my toys is due to the large cockapoo named Uncle Puppy. Look at those crazy eyes.

This is the last thing some of my poor toys get to see before they are destroyed.

Meanwhile as we were uploading pictures he did this to my purple dragon. We looked all over the house and I can't find her poor ear.

For the safety of my toys I think I am going to have to enforce a muzzle law for the cockapoo.

2011 St. Louis Pet Expo P. 6 of 6

EEK this is part 6 of 6 on post 666. Thats too many 6's.

Anyhoo superstitions aside are you ready for the finale of our expo adventure?

First up is Musical doggie chairs. We didn't pawticipate as we didn't have anyone to watch the buggy. Grandma and Bobo went out to take a break from all the excitement and such. Anyhoo it was fun to watch!

This girl was all dressed up.

He is the "RALLY SQUIRREL" Quite creative.

There they go around the chairs. Now the funny thing is the music was the Spice Girls. Some girl band from the '90s way before my time but made it momma laugh!

Good job Mr. Lab!

And the winner was the border collie. He won a big bag of goodies!

After the musical chairs we stopped the little pom mix to ask her about her feather and her mom told us that she got it done at a booth on the far left side. So we trotted (or in my case strolled) right over to the Paws and Relax booth.

And after momma paid $1 I got it placed in me ear.

Quite stunning if you ask me. Now your probably thinking it doesn't match you outfit....Can't go around all mis-match-ie (Mollie-ism). Well in only 25 minutes the costume contest was starting and red would go nice with my outfit.

So after getting my feather extension I took the rest of the 20 minutes before the costume pawty to count some milk bones (like counting sheep but better).

Then we headed to the arena!

...Big bird and Oscar!

Sadly they huddled us all in the ring and didn't give everyone a chance to see all the dogs before voting so I was upset not everyone, including my own momma got to see me twirl, but I still had fun.

So after the expo we couldn't stay in the hotel and had to drive all the way home in the dark but it was nice to be in me own bed.

The next day we modeled our new collars and my new jammies from Sassy Classy Collars. Momma went back after the costume contest to surprise me with them. They are pink! I love them.

Even though a few things went awry it was a ton of fun and I enjoyed my weekend in St. Louis!!! Especially meeting Ziggy and the PIT BOSS!!!

2011 St. Louis Pet Expo P. 5 of 6

Today's post begins in the Cyber Cafe. This was our midday break spot and where we had lunch.

We also caught up with grandma's co-worker Angie and her doggie Scout. This is Angie and Scouts first expo.

We had some mini milk bones from one of the vendors and checked and pupdated facebook.

We didn't get to taste this, remember I had a problem hitting the BBQ sauce at one time, but momma said it was the best BBQ ever.

After all that food we took a lil nap...

...Then hit the last of the booths. Tagg was one booth we stopped by and I think I know a cockapoo that this might be good for.

Potty bells. Hmm Maybe Frankie's new puppy Ernie might needs some of these.

And Bark Central. Its a pet resort. Hmm...We have never been to a resort sounds fun!!!

Then it was time to hit the Entertainment Stage again for some listen to some informative speakers.

First was Viola, the rescue dog turned obedience dog.

She was accompanied by her mom and trainer. She was very well behaved but her mom said at one time she was deemed "hyper-active". She knew a lot of tricks too!!!!

After Viola Furry Ferret Rescue took the stage to raise awareness that Ferrets make great pets. This was our first time getting to see and experience ferrets and ya know what if you can get past the "looks kinda like a long squirrel" thing they are pretty cool fun little creatures.

After the speaker left the stage we asked if we could pet one and oh boy are they soft!!! This little guys name was Stinky but he didn't smell. We sniffed him.

And the Pit Bull Awareness group took the stage. This is something we are passionate about as no dog or human for that matter should be discriminated against or feared based on looks. One thing they talked about that shocked us was how many cities right there in the St. Louis area has BSL. She listed over 10 cities.

The last speaker of the day was none other than PIT BOSS and Hercules. And we had a front row seat!!!!

Shorty spoke about spay/neuter, his life, his rescue, Hercules, the myths of pit bulls and his show. Did you know Pit Boss is coming back on in JAN 2012?!?!?!?! Well now you do so be sure to set the DVRs. You know we will!

During the time the speakers were on stage I noticed a few things...

And that this is a picture of "parenting" at its finest! This little 2 legger was sitting next to us at the entertainment stage all day screaming, bumping into us, and flat out being a BRAT. Really this "parent" should have removed the kid from the expo. It plainly states on the flyers that any misbehavior will lead to removal from the expo. Come on people enforce the rules!

All too soon it was time for the Trick Competition. I clowned around with my hula hoop! I did sit, down, high five, and twirl in my hoop then jumped through it!!!

This is the other fur-celeb we met at the expo. Its none other than Ziggy-the adoptable dog from right here in blogville. Can you believe it??? He even entered the trick contest.

He bowed his head and prayed for the homeless animals! The crowed loved him and he took home 1st prize. Congrats Ziggy!

After his stage show Laurie brought him over so we all could meet him. He is a sweet boy! This was our first time meeting a blogger in the furs! Way cool paws!
