A post from the momma

I have some sad, yet happy, news to report. A fairly large puppy mill was busted litterally right down the road from where we live. Here is the link to the news story:

Thankfully the Graves County Animal Shelter, the shelter who seized the dogs, is rescue friendly and will do all they can to send these dogs out to rescues who can help them.

Please keep these poor dogs in your prayers!

Now onto a question I have had since I started blogging. On the blog at the bottom of each post there is the place to comment and it says "5 comments:" and then "Post a Comment". I have seen other blogs that have changed that to "5 Dog Tags" or "5 Bark Backs". How do I change that?

Update: Thanks Nadine!!!

  1. I really, really hate hearing stories of puppy mills, but I do like the news when they get busted. I've thought about doing rescue work before, but could not do it, I know that if I went to a mill like this, I would not be able to stop crying. I don't even know if I would be able to get into fostering, knowing myself, I would want to keep each and every dog I foster! I fervently wish that all of these puppies find good loving homes.

Now, as to your request, you need to do the following:

On your dashboard, go under Layouts to Page Elements.
Click on Edit blog posts, and under Post Page Options, 4th one down is where you'll be able to add whatever you want!

  3. Mom couldn't even read the story because it makes her both sad and mad. (But she's even more glad that she was able to donate to your shelter - sounds like they are going to need a lot of help, but she's glad for what they do!)

  13. Visiting from Benny & Lily's blog to say hello!! I could not bear to open the link, such sadness at these horrific facilities, yet now there is hope for the rescued dogs and happiness that this puppy mill has been exposed. I hope the operators will get some jail time, fines and community service!!

  16. Sure hope those people who ran the puppy mill get some stiff sentences, fines, and anything else they can do to them. That is so wrong. Some people are just greedy. We hope the pups will find wonderful homes have a chance at a good happy and fun life.
Also wondered about the question you raised. Thanks.
