Storm Stories

After we got home from the Quilt Show on Friday momma watched the news and saw we were going to get some bad storms through out the overnight hours. Well we live in a mobile home and it get very noisy and with high winds it all makes grandma a bit crazy and she is unable to sleep. So to remedy this problem we have a sleep over party at out local hotel.

With the quilt show the prices were double but they have an open door policy for doggies so its the best place to stay.

We checked the pee-mail.

Here is our room #207.

....waiting on grandma to get up here with the key.

After we got settled we headed out to buy snacks and get some ice.

OH MY! What is that?
(For those who don't like buggies....please close your eyes and scroll down past the next photo.)

EEK! Its a big ol' spider!

The next morning after our sleepover we had a break in the weather but knew more thunder boomers, high winds and heavy winds were coming so we went to stay at Tigger's (Doggy Nanny's husbands) office.

We brought out bed and all was good!

We went outside to watch the storm roll in.

Look at those clouds.

Its getting close!

Mid afternoon we did have a break in the rain and took a quick run to a local craft store to get some thread. While inside momma found a new toy to buy.

She bought a rotary cutter and cutting mats. She had heard people talking about them at the quilt show and just had to have one. But momma and grandma got lots of sewing done while we were at Tigger's office. (Yes they tool all their material, sewing machine, and sewing tools)

Hmmm...Could that fabric have anything to do with next weeks theme?

At 4 pm we got the all clear for the weather and headed home. It may be silly but its better than staying at home and having to listen to all the thunder boomers and high winds.
