It's Time to let the Dog Out of the Suitcase

Ok well I feel its time to let the doggie out of the suitcase! BOL

We are going on an overnight trip to TN. No momma isn't making me ride in the suitcase I am just posing for a picture.

Mommas car bag with dvds and snacks. The black bag in front is our diaper bag. It holds our rabies certificates, leashes, collars, and travel water bowl.

Bobo was going to stay with the Doggy Nanny but Grandma really wanted him to go so he had to get a last minute appt at the groomer. Well our favorite groomer Annette was not in today so we made an appointment with another local groomer. We had heard good things so decided to try them. They are called Legacy Kennels. When we dropped him off all looked nice, clean and the staff was friendly. When we picked him up the groomer left a dog in the grooming loop on a table. It angered mom to think that Bobo could have been left on the table too. Once we left the lobby we went around the side to check and leave some pee mail and noticed something bad. They had their breeding dogs (yes they breed and have tons of litters) lined up on the side of the building in wire bottom cages with no blanket or beds inside. The temps were around 30 degrees and the wind was blowing hard so they must have been freezing. Once momma got home she started looking at his hair and was severly disappointed in the quality. He had tufts of hair everywhere and his face was all choppy. Momma said we will never have to go back there. Thank goodness! So if you know of anyone in the Paducah area tell them to stay away from Legacy Kennels.

Here is a picture of Bobo checking out a litter of puppies that they had in the lobby. They too were on a wire bottom cage with only a tiny towel crumpled in the corner.
Any hoo....I are done ranting....

Once we get to the hotel we will catch up on the blogs and post about what we did on the drive down.

Wags and Licks,
Mollie Jo & Bobo

  4. Grrrrr! That makes me super angry to read. At least you are smart enough not to go back again. Lots of unsuspecting humans will just see cute puppies and think it is a good place.

  9. My husband has a cousin in Paducah that works for one of the news channels. They are big dog lovers. I've passed the word onto them.
