2009 Remembered

We can't believe that 2009 is already coming to an end...We have less than 12 hours left (We are in central time). With a little inspriation from Jazzi we wanted to remember some of the fun things that happened this year.

We did lots of fun errands like going to the post office! Especially during the month of December when we had to mail our DWB Christmas cards.

We attended lots of parties for our birthdays and Halloween.

We had to endure baths...and having our pictures taken while in the bathtub.

We also learned that foster siblings are not so bad and we even learned to play with them and not just give the stink eye!

Remember images like this:

We also got lots of treats and bye bye rides this year too...Which is most fun!

But the biggest thing we will remember about 2009 is it is the year we started blogging and met all of our new friends from all across the world!

Heres to a 2010 filled with fun and exciting posts!

A Furry Busy Week!

We have been MIA....and its all mommas fault...Momma has been working feverishly to get this little girl into a lab rescue up north. After speaking with 12 rescues one said they could take her. YEA!!! Then she had to work up a transport (she is a verified transport coordinator) and so she has been super busy.

The transport filled today so now Sadie will be spending the night on Friday so she can get her shots (they expired this week) on Saturday before the transport.
-------------------
Since momma is busy we have been doing alot of this....

and this....
and just regular snoopervising!
-------------------
The Doggy Nanny's email box has been acting up so Momma has been up there trying to fix it.
Of course we come to help!
-----------------------
Last Saturday momma was looking through the classified online and found an ad for some crates...She decided to go look....
Well while she was there she was able to haggle the seller down to $15 on this BIG OL' (Mango sized) crate. So now when she has big doggies spend the night during transports they can sleep in this nice crate...Momma even put a playpen mattress in there for extra comfort.
-------------------
Somehow she managed to get us in there and she locked us in...hmmm...well lets see if I can stretch all the way out....Yep...I can!

SNOW FLURRIES!!!!!!!!

After we opened presents and had a treat we went outside and found this....
A frozen spot on the porch....

Then we saw some little flurries...if you click and bigify you can see a few little snowflakes on the porch. Not much but we will take it. A few landed on my nose...it was cool and refreshing!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve we went up to see our Doggy Nanny.
I had fun playing with this blanket corner.

Bobo played with his bear toy.

Then Doggy Nanny said she had something for momma.

We kept a watch on the kitchen so just incase it is food...we were sure to get a bite!

but no...its chocolate...oh well...momma will enjoy!

Once we got home we set out the milk and peanut butter cookies for Santa Paws. Now normally we put these things by our real tree...but before Fluffy left he ate an ornament and momma took it down. So we only have our little baby tree but it still festive!
Then we were off to bed!
----------------
Christmas morning we awoke to our Stockings on the bed! Oh boy he came!

Bobo is asking grandma "why can't we eat treats first?"
Look at all Santa Paws brought. We got a bag of treats, 2 new toys, a new leash and collar (well thats for me), and a new snowman shirt (well thats for me too) and a few new pawsome tags.

Here is an up close of the tags. The gold dog house was a special one as its for our tag tree and it says "In Memory of Dolly 97-09". This is our first Christmas with out our Aunt Dolly and we are sad but know she is at the bridge and feeling like a little pup again.

Then its play time!
I love my new faux leopard purse toy!
Bobo was on the bed eating his holiday treats.
Now we know Christmas is not all about presents...Jesus is the reason for the season! Happy Birthday Jesus!!!

We wish you all a safe and happy holiday! Hug your hoomans and hound siblings tight today and if they live far away give them a call or email to let them know you are thinking of them!

Our Letter to Santa Paws

We sent our letter to Santa paws many weeks ago...but wanted to share it all with you on this Christmas Eve 2009.

Dear Santa Paws,
We have been good and helpful pups this year. We helped mommy by snoppervising the yard, socializing the foster pups, and alerting momma when people pull into the driveway. We would also like to point out that we did not bite the vet, allowed the foster siblings to sleep in our beds, and took our medicine like we should. The biggest item on our Christmas list is we want is our foster sibling Jackson to get a furever home...We like him and everything but he needs a family of his very own to love him! The next items would be nice to recieve if you are able to give them to us. Bobo wants some new toys and Mollie would like a new Christmas shirt. Thanks for taking the time to read our letter and have a safe trip!

Pee Ess: Remember we don't have a chimney...you will need to use the front door.

------------------------------

Well as you can see some of our Christmas wishes have already come true...Little Jackson (or Fluffy as his is now called) found his furever home. Santa Paws must be working over time this year.

We will be posting tomorrow afternoon about our Christmas!

Visitors...of the furry kind!

When we went out for our after lunch snoopervising...We found something in the yard.

Two dogs!

Once I got out there one sniffed my head while the other sniffed my rear.

Then momma let Mollie out...She came running so fast scared all three of us!

When we had to go in...the big one tried to come in our house...I got on the top step so I could look him stright in the eye and said "No you don't".

A few minutes after we went in their kids came by on bikes and called them home.

DWB Christmas Card Exchange

Well we finally got tired of waiting and sat momma down and made her take a picture of each card so that we could add them to our slide show. We watched to make sure she finished them all and didn't get side tracked on Facebook again. Ok I did...Mollie Jo fell asleep.

We did have a question for Dory and Bilbo of Dory's Backyard. Which one of you at the corner off of the card? Well we know it couldn't be one of you two doggies...A worker at the post office must have done it. BOL BOL BOL BOL

We wanted to say thank you to each blogger family that took the time to mail and email us a Christmas card. We enjoyed opening each one! With this card exchange we met qutie a few new friends which is pawsome!

Sunday Shopping

Well momma's computer chair lost its wheels...Don't exactly know what happened...just fell off. Anyhoo it couldn't be reattached so we headed to office depot to get a new one.

The chairs are that way.

Can I be the chair tester?

No...This one has a strange back...very scary.

Hey I could sit in this one, be very still and be completly hidden...Hmm...that might not be a good idea...I might get squished...lets move on.

No...Just not feeling this one.

Oh yes...This is the one...its perfect.

Its also the perfect price.

When we took this ticket up to the front they went to get the chair out of the back. Well the display was the only one left...but I insisted to momma it was the right one. So we took it home.

All in a days work!
-----------------------------------
Bobo has done alot better today...Only coughed once...a ton less then when he is on no medicine and he didn't feel bad and ate all his dinner plus two peanut butter bones. So we are happy for that improvement! Then I started feeling a little sore in my back (I have a weak disc in my back)...and so I had to have medicine too tonight.

Medicine

A few months ago my allergies started getting worse. Sometimes my face gets puffy and I cough alot. Momma had our vet check me out and it is just allergies. Instead of putting me on the expensive medicine she reccomended Benadryl for adults....One pill a night for as long as I need.

After about a month of being on the medicine and being fine...I started feeling yucky and couldn't eat much...Momma was so worried about me. Grandma suggested that it may be the Benadryl so she didn't give me my pill Thursday night and Friday I was back to normal...feeling good...doing zoomies...and eating like normal. The bad news is I started coughing Friday night. So she did some research and found out that the reccomended dosage is 1ml per pound. That means I was getting enough medicine for both me and Mollie combine. So momma picked up some childrens Benadryl so that she can measure out the exact dosage I need. I will keep you all updated from here.

The Big Squeeze

Alright we are on our way.

We went to the local flea market...They don't sell fleas...we asked.Momma and I stayed in the car...Grandma and Mollie went inside. Mollie went in looking like this.

She came out looking like this...She got a new Christmas shirt.

Then...We went to the vet...She tricked us with that little shopping trip.

After we checked in and got weighed, we were sitting in the waiting room and I noticed something....What is that up there...

Oh it's a camera...I wonder if it is linked to the north pole...if it is Santa Paws maybe watching...Hmmm...I better not bite the vet tech today...BOL BOL (I only bit a vet once a long time ago...it was my first time at a vet...I was scared...)

Meanwhile Bobo was flirting with the ladies...Man he sure loves the ladies...this time it was a little cream pekapoo...no pics....she stayed in her crate the entire time.
I hear 'em coming...OH NO!!!

There are our charts and the vet techs tools of torture.

We had to have our anal glands expressed...Oh the horror...It's the worst things ever! While we were on the table momma had them clip and dremel our nails...Sure why not just keep us up there longer.

Alright we are done can we go now?

Oh sweet freedom!

After the vet we hit a few consignment shops...Momma and I mostly stayed in the car and people watched...Grandma and Mollie did the shopping.

Then we stopped at a new place...A lady met us out front and handed mom something...It was a bag of Peanut butter drops from a new bakery called Bratty Bytz Bistro...They are all for us!

Oh they are soooooooo good!

YUM!

After 2 each momma put them up and said no more...I just sat and stared in hopes she would let me have another.

No luck...I actually fell asleep on the way home...
