It's Puppy Week

To celebrate we will share the story of the day we got Uncle Puppy and the first time we puppy sat him.

With all the bad weather and having Uncle Puppy here we got a tad behind on blogging about him. Its a bit long but a grand read!

Thursday morning we left early:

Lilac even came with us!

After like 75 million hours we arrived in Missouri.

We stopped at a furry nice rest stop, filled up with gas, and....

...stopped to smell the flowers.

After another 75 million hours of driving we stopped at the Petsway in Poplar Bluff to do a bit of shopping!

Doggy Nanny loved Bobo's Orange collar....so we got one for Uncle Puppy. Of course you didn't think we could leave without momma getting him a tag did you?!?!?

Then we set out for the meeting spot, in Ellington MO, to meet Mrs. Welch. Momma and Mrs. Welch talked for hours about this and that....Boring....But she did mention Hunny is doing grand and may become a therapy dog. How cool is that?

After they got done chatting they got all his paperwork and bag of food and got back into the car. He slept like this for the entire 5 hour ride home.

uggg...can he lay it on thick with the cuteness or what?

Doggy Nanny was shocked when we walked up with him. (she thought we were going the next day to get him) Once hom he checked out his new pen.

I got a good look at the boy....I personally don't much care for him.

Look at that he is already of getting tired his picture being taken and started nibbling on Doggy Nanny's camera...BOL

She quickly snatched that from his puppy jaw and put an old house shoe in it.

After much oohing and aahing they took him outside. I can't belive this...Bobo is actually playing with this attention stealer!

Oh and it gets worse....I caught Bobo letting this puppy monster hug him!
(as you can see I had to be leashed because I was being, how do I put this, unsocial. In my defence I don't feel good, my back hurts and this new puppy monster is taking my momma, grandma, and Doggy Nannys attention away from me while I am not feeling good.)

On Friday Uncle Puppy had to come over fro some doggie daycare as the Doggy Nanny had to run some errands. Momma got the bright idea that since I was not being very nice to the lil puppy that she would put me in his pen and let him have free run of the house.

This is WRONG on so many levels...not to mention he is destroying my favorite toy ever!

After 75 million hours momma came to her senses and let me out and put him away.

After crying for ever...he settled down....

...and fell asleep!

Wags and Licks,
Mollie Jo & Bobo
& Uncle Puppy

Note from the momma: Usually Mollie gets acclimated to the new dogs we have fairly quickly...but her back seems to be hurting alot and she is just not quite feeling like her normal self. She has been a little snippy with him if he comes within 5 feet of her. She is on her metacam medicine daily now and I hope she will be feeling better soon.

  1. We hope you feel better soon Mollie - no one feels sociable when they aren't feeling well.

Uncle Puppy is adorable and we are sure that once you are feeling better he will be giving you hugs too!

  2. Feel better, Mollie. I know that when I first came home my big brother Ben was quite sick and not super happy to have me around. I learned pretty quick that he just needed his space! As for Uncle Puppy? Mom is looking at those pictures thinking, "Gee, he's really cute, but wow am I glad that The Little Monster is no longer that age!" Me? I can't believe he slept the whole drive home!

    Good luck!

  5. As soon as Mom saw Uncle Puppy's picture she was oohing and ahhing all over the place, she thinks that he is just the cutest!! Don't worry Mollie Jo, the attention is always on the new one until the newness wears off, then he becomes just one of the pack!

  6. Mollie Jo you are going to have to allow the two leggers a bit of freedom with Uncle puppy... at least for a while. They are kind of addicted to the puppy scent thingy. They'll get over it.
    He is a REAL CUTIE!!!.

  11. Oh Mollie Jo! I sure hope you get to feeling better soon. It is no fun to feel like cat crap and then have some immature pup there. Momma was all oooohhhh and aaaaahhhh over his photos....I'm like you, I don't get it. Just try to remember, this is temporary and your mom is doing it to hlep him.

  15. Ack! I can't believes I missed this postie! Firstly, I'm very much sorry about your back owie, Mollie. I KNOW that can't be fun, especially when you've got a ker-azy little puppy around. But holy dog biscuits, he sure is CUUUUUTE! Not as cutes as the two of you, of course. But right up there.
