Thundering Thursday

Yesterday evening we gots some intense thunder boomers and the sirens were going off and everything. Just south of us they spotted rotation in the sky. No good. When the wind got bad we headed to the local church basement. We live in a trailer and its not safe to stay in bad weather.

We started our adventure on our pillow getting a snack.

Then I checked out this prehistoric scooter. Momma it don't move?!?!

Joey was in his crate...

...and Bobo was trying to hide from the thunder boomers by meditating. BOL

We are happy to report no damage to us, the house or our property.

In other news Joey went to the vet this morning. He is parasite free and heartworm free. Yipee! He is underweight, has some tartar, and lots of ear hair but over all not bad. But ya know what Dogtor Flanary told us....He ain't no 9 months old. He is 2 YEARS old. The breeder LIED. You can't trust a "breeder" as far as you can chase 'em. In my HUMBLE opinion.

Thank dogness his nails were short cause he put up quite a fight. BOL

Wags and Licks,
Mollie Jo & Bobo

  1. Whew! I'm glad you went someplace safe and that everything is okay.

I just wanted to thank you for helping sweet Joey. It's hard when you're skeered of lots of stuff. I know. I was that way one time, too. But I just KNOW Joey's in the right place to help him get started off on his whole new life.

    Wiggles & Wags,

  2. OMD OMD... I am soooooo glad that you were safe and that there was no damage to your home. WHEW Indeed!!! Poor Joey.... I am sure he was really afraid. I agree that those puppy mill guys and gals can NOT be trusted.. as far as you can chase them.. I think they are all ... SQUIRRELS!!!

  3. Poor wittle Joey. I bets he was afraid of da storm too on tops of everyting else he hads to go through...trip to da vet, nail clipping, blood work, etc. He will need a long rest after all dis.

  4. Way too early for bad weather like that, but we have the possibility for severe weather here on Sunday too. Hard to believe after getting snow and ice overnight. Good news on Joey's health. Now to get him to know he is going to be OK and loved.

Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara

  5. Oh we don't like boommers or fire crackers. That scooter is old as the hills, it doesn't even have a motor. Good news for you Joey

  7. How scary! We would have just spent all the time crying and running in circles. Is that the correct procedure. Glad to hear about the heart worm

  8. Whew- glad you had a safe place to ride out the storm.

  9. Glad to hear all is well with Joey! And we're also glad that you didn't end up like Toto in that movie... ;-)
