Just some interesting photos

Well momma came through as promised and kept her camera with her so she could get lots of pictures.

Scarlett (I think that name is going to stick) smiling about being outside.

Giving our yard the good ol' sniff.

Lillian sniffing.

She done her "business" and happy about it! Fancy foot work and flappin' ears!!!

Look at Phillip (or as he is now called Jackson) sitting pretty...Oh wait what is he sitting on?

Oh yeah its me! First Mollie now me...What are we going to do?
Then he laid down and fell asleep...Ho Hum!

After naps Mollie and Jackson played zoomies in the living room.

Then we went to Doggy Nanny's house for a visit...Look what was on the counter! Marshmallows!

Hand them over!

Poodle pile up in the kitchen!

Then we came home and did a short photo shoot. Grandma wanted a picture for her desk of all her poodle doodles!

Pee Ess: The foster kids are heading to the rescue vet so we will be at Doggy Nanny's house. We are going to let Phillip blog as this evening about the whole experience. The girls will be staying to get spayed. So tomorrow we will have kind of an empty house!

Much Progress and a Little Addition

*Sorry there are not more pictures...with 4 dogs its hard for momma to take lots of pictures....she promises to work on this*

Phil and Lil are both eating well and are showing their personalities more and more. Phil has really taken to grandma and hardly ever leaves her side. Lil has taken to momma and hardly ever leaves her side. So now when they are in the living room watching TV they each have 2 dogs.

Saturday momma and grandma had to do a home visit for another rescue can you believe what our Doggy Nanny offered? Day care for all of us...Bobo, Phil, Lil, and me!!!

Sunday momma went to the store and grandma stayed home with us and we had a good time...we snoopervised laundry and other household chores. One she returned they ate lunch..and forgot to offer us any...Hmmm...

Later in the afternoon grandma called the breeder we (Bobo and me) came from to see if she could get any tips on grooming. She is a great groomer. Well they got some great tips and tricks and are ready to "experiment"...I am a little worried now.

Well while she was there she mentioned that the dog she was showing grandma grooming on was looking for a home. Well we have all the resources to see that she gets a good home....So....she came home with a little red girl named Scarlett. Not sure that fits her so we are brain storming new names....Momma likes Lady Bug or Madeline...Grandma likes Lucy...We are still open to suggestions.

Here she is:
I will have momma take more pictures tomorrow.

Momma was able to capture this scene from last night. I was peacefully sleeping in the recliner when who else but the crazy boy Phil jumped up and sat on me! Oh my dog...can't a girl get some sleep around this place?

A Package & an Outing

At the begining of the week I ordered some tags with my rescues name and phone number on them. So I was excited when a package arrived today.

They looked awesome!
Lil modeling one of the new tags.

I had to run to the post office today to mail a package. So to help Lil with her socialization I decided to take her with me. Our post office is in a rual area and all the workers know me (as well as my dogs) so they are always welcome. I forgot my camera so no pictures but it went over well.

Well Phil ate a decent meal this morning so I guess all the puppy prayers helped! Thanks!

< insert catchy blog title here >

Momma had to do some homework so as usual she moved her laptop into the scrapbooking room and put out the big bed for us all to sleep in while she worked. First we had to check the blogs.

Hmmm...I can't seem to see the screen...Normally we read blogs from the big comfy chair in the living room. What is a girl to do?

Well I guess I can read upside down...Not the best but it will do for now...

Oh Mango...

Just after reading Mango's post momma's cell phone rang. Phil and Lil didn't know what to make of this strange noise so they twisted their heads....

...More twisting...

...Phil looks worried.
Oh well...Nuzzles with momma make everything better.
At this point Bobo and I headed out side to do our afternoon snoopervising...Phil and Lil took a nap.

Phil and Lil will be heading to the V-E-T on Tuesday for shots, heartworm checks, and a spay (for Lil...Phil is already "tutored"). They will be going to a different vet who is rescue friendly and is giving momma a discount on her rescue doggies. Isn't that nice? We will not be attending as momma can't handle 4 dogs and a flashy box all by her self (grandma is working that day). So we will let Phil blog on that day.

*Note from Momma: Since arriving Lil has really come out of her shell and enjoys being with us and loves going outside. She has taken to the leash well (the breeder said she had never even had a collar on before). We already have an interested adopter for Lil. I just have a good feeling that this is the right family. We will be doing a home check with her next Thursday to see how Lil gets along with them and thier grandbaby. Even though Lil is a tad shy I don't think there will be any problems.

Phil on the other hand is not progressing as much as I would like. He spends most of his time in the corner or in his crate. He has only eat tiny amounts of food and when put on a leash does the alligator roll. I ask that all of our blog friends put thier paws together and think good thoughts for this little boy.

Grooming, Two Cuties, and A Big Event!

Well I escaped Monday...By running off to my Doggy Nanny's house. Mommas wasn't going to let that happen again and got me in the grooming room.

She did leave me some hair...Thankfully as its getting golder here. She did go all fancy pants on me and gave me a banded neck. That is where my neck is shaved short while my body is longer. I think I am one handsome boy!

-------------------------------

Now presenting our newest foster dogs. Their names are Abby and Monster and they are a mother and son. We are changing and their names...Momma and grandma are thinking Phil and Lil (from the rugrats). When they got here they got a bath and a quick groom. They both had a few hair mats. We will have momma get more pictures tomorrow.

--------------------

Hey can you guess what today is? No, Well it is my official Gotcha day!

I am so excited!
--------------------

For those who do not know my story....

Back in 2003 momma just had this "I want a puppy feeling" so they contacted the poodle breeder that they got Bobo from. She did not have any puppies at the time but the breeder did mention that she had a female that was spayed and needed a home. The very next night momma and grandma cam just to "look". While there the breeder told them that I had trouble with my last litter and had to be spayed so I was "useless" (her term not mine). She also mentioned that I had already gone to another home and was brought back because their daughter had allergies to me. After hearing all of that momma knew she couldn't leave me there. So even though momma wasn't sure that this would work out (can you believe that) she took me anyway. At first I had to endure alot of vet visits and ear infections but now am healthy. I also had to battle alot of basic things like walking on a leash, going potty outside, and being touched by humans...Oh boy do I have all of those thing down pat plus some. So that is my story...Sad start happy end!

---------------------

My shirt says it all..."Some one threw me a bone and gave me a home"

I must say I like it here.
For my Gotcha day momma got me a special tag.

November 4, 2003 was the day I came to my furever home!

So today marks that I have been here for 6 years. That is pretty pawsome in my book!

What we have been up to...

Petco released an image of the new charms for thanksgiving, Christmas, and new years. Momma was super excited as they are pretty cute. When they didn't offer them for sale online (like they have other grooming charms) momma decided she would just go to Petco and purchase them there. So she and grandma headed to Cape Girardeau, MO.

Since they had to do grocery shopping to we went to Doggy Nanny's house.
Look there is our Tigger (Doggy Nanny's husband).

While momma and grandma were in Cape Girardeau they also stopped in a flea market (they said there were no fleas for sale) and found a 101 dalmations dog bowl for Bobo. It also came with a bag clip for our dog food. It's totally cute!

They finally did come home....RELEASE THE HOUNDS!!!

Momma made me model my new orange collar (bought on sale at Target in Cape Girardeau) and new leaf tag from Petco.

Enough of that....Throw my toy NOW!!!

Here I go...

Bringing it back...

I stare at it hoping it will run...or momma will throw it...either way works for me.

While I was chasing my toy...Bobo was getting ear rubs from grandma.
--------------------
Monday momma groomed me...Now my hair is short and sleek. Bobo is getting cut today...not quite as short as he gets cold. We will post grooming pictures later.
-------------------
This morning we overheard a phone conversation between momma and grandma...There is a poodle breeder that has two white poodles that need go. So they will come here and stay until they can find good homes. Pictures and updates will come later this evening.

An Adoption and a New Layout

Missy was adopted yesterday evening! An older lady who was looking to rescue a small dog (after her rescue lab has gone to the rainbow bridge) called yesterday to see if she was still available. She asked if she could come out to meet her and fell in love instantly. Momma and Grandma both saw the connection between Missy and her new momma and they felt it was right. Before Missy left her new momma already renamed her Mia Grace. Get this she lives 7.7 miles away so if we wanted we could go visit.

Good Luck Mia Grace!!!

Well now that its November we felt a new layout was in order. Since we love eating turkey we chose this colorful turkey layout!
