Karma Bites!

During our Hi-ate-us, we had another squatter join this crazy house! Her name is Karma but the good thing is she has pawrents who came back for her. See we were puppy sitting. Now them is the kinda squatters I like!

At first she was unsure so she spent alot of time under the couch. BOL!

But she gained confidence and came to meet everyone and be quite a social butterfly

And Since Uncle Puppy has only a 1/4 inch nubbin of a tail he sometimes gets tail envy and pulls other puppies tails. Have we mentioned he may be cRaCkErs?!?!?!?

I think they are winding down...

...and believe it or not sometimes she would actually get tired!

So we put her in her nap pen and off to dream land she would go!!!

But it was never long before it was battle time again.

They could do this for hours. They would sit facing each other mouths open, and just whine at one another!

And so you don't furget what WE look like.

Then the Keep away game was in reverse. Ellie didn't much enjoy that version of the game!

And of course she went walking with us. I think she quite enjoyed her stay here at the Poodle Casa!

Betty and a Big Bye Bye Ride

Miss Betty....She was a frightened soul and one that was untrusting of humans. She stayed with us for a total of 4 months. She went to 3 homes and was returned 3 times. She couldn't trust the new families and they weren't willing to give her time. One returned her after only 22 hours. So sad. We were at a loss of what to do. We think the experience of leaving, coming back, leaving, and coming back were really making her fears worse. So momma contacted a good rescue friend in NC and asked if she knew of anything we could do or if they had any families who might be a good match. Well Miss Donna of Carolina Poodle Rescue said that yes they have a big farm and she could meet 20 new people everyday (as a way to overcome her fear of new people) and have a better chance of being adopted there so we set up a transport.

She chose this bag for all of her belongings. A great choice if you ask us as she was from a puppy mill!

And she made the journey from Ken-Tuck-EE to North Car-O-Line-A. This is one of the drivers who helped get her there.

Now whats amazing is the transport was running 1 hour off schedule due to traffic. So Betty got to the rescue later than expected and Miss Donna was with a potential adopter showing her some of the adoptable poodles and guess what? That potential adopter fell in love with Miss Betty the minute she walked in the doors of Carolina Poodle Rescue. If the transport had run on time she might have missed meeting Miss Sarah (Betty's new mom). So it was meant to be. As of today she has been adopted for 1 month and we get updates on her and she is doing well. And her name is now Charlotte. So fate had a paw in getting Betty adopted. As always we LOVE happy endings!!!

Now we drove Miss Betty to Nashville so we did a wee bit of shopping after we dropped Betty off with the next driver.

Hey what does that sign say?

Way to go Pet Food Center of Clarksville, Tn! They have a "Don't Leave your Pets in Cars" sign. We give them a give high paw for that! They have always had the nicest staff but now they are promoting something that is close to my heart, responsible pet ownership!

Ellie, the toy hound, had a great time checking out all the toy racks!

After all that shopping it was TREAT TIME!

All in all we got some blue buffalo...

...some rocking new summer wear and...

....a new sun dress.

On the way home we stopped for some tropical sno! A great end to a great day!

Ellie's Adventures in Ken-Tuck-EE

While Ellie was here she had some grand adventures. Even though he was 7x her size Uncle Puppy was her favorite playmate.

In the house she was quite a little cracker dog.

Throwing it upon her back.

Her and Betty were partners in crime. Here they have successfully spooked Uncle with that funny face and stole his bone.

She never did stop her riding addiction. Never were her paws used for walking. No ma'am

She loved the scooter basket!

She did learn a few tricks such as sit and wait.

But when it was naptime her and Betty would snuggle together. My oh my they did keep that pen a mess didn't they?!?!?!

Momma found Ellie a purse made of faux alligator.

Ellie kept a stash of toys in there. Crazy girl!

And with the size difference between Uncle Puppy and Ellie....

Uncle Puppy did most of the carrying. Ain't he a helpful boy?!?!

Near the end of her stay Ellie had to another hair cut...hmmm....

That didn't go to well. BOL

But once she was all trimmed up she rocked the tiny topknot!

She sure had some fun her in Ken-Tuck-EE! Can't wait to see what her and momma Olivia (AKA Lily) are up to in Ten-EE-See.

We're BAAAAACK!

Can you believe it we are really back? We can't either! Now this post is about an adventure we had yesterday July 31, 2011. The following posts will be from the past few weeks adventures. Once we are fully caught up on those adventures we will let you know that we are back to regularly scheduled blogging.

Now to the adventure. We hopped in the car furry early on Sunday morning.

Where are we goin?

Hey who is that?

We met up with Valerie, Buddy and Olivia (now named Lily). We had a mini reunion! Momma was so excited to see her again after all these months. She is now a health 6 pounds and has the softest and fluffiest hair you ever did see! We love happy endings.

Now Ellie got to see her momma again. Remember Miss Ellie is Olivia's daughter. The twist in our story comes here. After much heartache momma decided that Ellie would be better suited with another family and not ours. Bobo's anxiety levels are high (we will explain later) and the "energy" wasn't right so momma contacted Valerie and Olivia to see if they wanted to adopt her and they said yes! So Ellie and her momma Olivia will be together forever. A story book ending for these princesses! We wish them all the best and many rounds of bitey face.

To celebrate the adoption we went out for Sno at our favorite Tropical sno place.

Pee Ess: It was a hard decision to let Ellie be adopted. But Mollie has had some jealousy issues and then Bobo's anxiety levels were off the charts. The decision was in the best interest of all pups and humans involved. We never took any pups into our rescue looking to adopt but sometimes you fall in love but when I saw the dynamics change in our house I knew its for the best. I do thank Valerie for adopting these girls and I know they have a quality of life that is A+ and they will be taken care of and very much loved! So again we wish them all the best and happiness! I hate that we have been gone from blogging for so long. With school, work, dogs, rescue, and FARMVILLE! Lifes been busy but now we have no fosters, work and school are under control and life in general has calmed down. We thank each blogger who emailed to check on us. Its great to see we were dearly missed! Now back to blogging!!!!
