...And we're off!

Remember this crazy little white dog...What was his name...Jefferson...Johnson...Jackson...Thats right Jackson.
We have gotten a ton of updates from his new mom and he is the life of the party at his new house. BOL He was warmed up and loves every member of the family and he has some in-laws visiting and has been spotted sitting with them. Tomorrow he will be visiting his new grandma in the nursing home...That is pretty cool. Also he went to the vet this week and got all the extras he needed to fly....cause he is flying with his new family to CALIFORNIA...Man going from homeless to being invited to spend Christmas in California with extended family...That boy hit the jackpot!!! BTW he has been renamed Fluffy.
---------------------
Also we got an update on Lilly...She has been shopping alot with her new mom...and loves dressing up in sweaters and jackets.

And...the rescue that took Scarlett just loves her...She is coming out of her shell...loving her new mom...and adjusting well.

Alls well that ends well!
------------------

Enough about that boy...Now back to the blogging about the two country poodles...

Thats right we are heading out on a *special* adventure today. So when went to mail a package yesterday mornin for our Doggy Nanny...we gassed up the car...Oh this is going to be fun! I wonder where we are going...Shopping, road trip, transport, oh the excitement is killing us!

A Boneafide Product Review

We wanted to start doing some reviews of products we have tried. Here we go...

The first item is Dicken's Closet I.D. Tag Holder. This is a simple nylon clip with a quick release buckle. It will attach to most harnesses and collars.

We found these on a trip to Petco earlier this year. We keep our rabies attached to our harnesses so thought this would be perfect as we like to change our harnesses to match our collars.

We give this product a great grade A+. We love it as it makes switching our rabies tags from harness to harness super easy. Plus momma doesn't have to ruin her nails opening the split o rings. It is not bulky so we don't even really know we are wearing it, but know our rabies tags are safely attached.

You can buy your very own at a Petco near you or if you don't live near Petco you can always order online from here. They are a great value at $2.99.

Now for modeling....

Next Friday's item will be...the Pet Stroller.

Lil' Bit of This & That

Yesterday momma and grandma had to go to the grocery store and run some other errands so...We went to Doggy Nanny's house! This time we had our Doggy Nanny all to our selves...It was pawsome!!

Since momma and grandma would be out during our din din hour they took our din din fixings up to the Doggy Nanny's House. We have our basic kibbles, a bit of turkey for topping, a slice of cheese to mask my allergy medicine, and some treats for good measure.

Today we found this wonderful black sludge to roll in and boy were we smellin' wonderful! Momma however didn't agree...so you know what that means...We had to have a BATH.

Momma did make up for it by finally getting out our electric blanket. We also had her through in the heating pad for extra warmth.

Then she got out our favorite Christmas blanket and covered us up. We were very snuggly.

When we did get up we were transfering the pictures from the camera to the computer we found this picture of Cooper the overnight dog. Grandma got up early and gave all the dogs a little extra attention and snapped this shot of Cooper having a taste of the good life. He seemed to like the big bed we have in the living room...Who wouldn't? We did recieve an email this morning that all dogs are at their respective rescues and doing great!

We are still working on getting pictures of all of the cards we have recieved this year. We should be done by this evening and they all will be displayed on our Slide gadget.

Parties, Transports, Adoptions and Pizza!!!

First we would like to say we finally sat momma down last night and got caught up on our blogging friends...Boy you all have had some great posts lately!

We will warn you this is going to be a long post...but there is lots of great things that happened this week so grab a snack, sit back, listen close.

--------------------

Saturday December 5, 2009 we headed out to our Vets office. Not for shots but for a Barkzarr. When we arrived a little doxie girl was just leaving....She was all dressed up and looking fabulous!

When we walked we were greeted by the new doctor and he gave us a goodie bag. All we got was some lean treats (hmmm...not sure about this) and a tooth brush...What do you do with a tooth brush?

Goodies were out for the hoomans.

Then I met this little girl...I let her pet me as I thought that doughnut was for me...but she was called back by her momma before she could give it to me. Silly hoomans.

We mainly just people watched, snacked, and left. They did have pictures but they were very disorganized and we didn't want to wait. It was super crowded in there. On our way out we met Hurley, the vet techs standard poodle. Look how big he is!

After we left the Barkzarr we went to the Marshall County Humane Society to pawticipate in their Holiday Photos. Their office was festive.

Then I hit the jackpot...A basket of Milk bones.

Momma brings my wubba as its squeaker really gets my attention! Jackson was the official toy squeaker.

We had a few blooper shots.
Then got into the photos and really posed for the camera.

Momma took us back to the Doggy Nanny's house and went to pick up the doggies for her transport. This is Moe and Curly, two 3 month old cattle dog pups. They slept the entire way to Marion, IL. All together now ***AWWWW***

Their momma Bella. (Side story...Mommas first transport was 2 years ago this very weekend for a male red Cattle dog....for the same rescue....How cool is that?)

Sunday December 6, 2009
-------------------------
Tigger (Doggy Nanny's Husband) thought it would be nice to have a pizza party.

When we got inside I found this awesome bow to play with.

There is the pizza.

Can we have some please???

Doggy Nanny PLEASE!!!

Then we helped grandma put together her cards for her co-workers. We snoopervised made sure every card had an envelope and every envelope had a stocking and every stocking had a candy cane.

At some point during the weekend a certian white boy decided to have a few snacks. Hmmm...Who could that be?!?!?!

-----------------------
Monday December 7, 2009 our Internet went out right as we were making this post the first time...

It was Wednesday December 9, 2009 night before we got it back on. Momma was going crazy...But got in alot of study time for her finals. Once the internet did come back on momma finished all three finals and is done with this semester! YEA
------------------------------
Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday momma had to go to Doggy Nanny's house to use her Internet. While at Doggy Nanny's house Jackson had to wear a diaper as she doesn't trust him. Isn't he adorable! (Those used to be Bobo's diapers when he was a wee little one)

Diaper Doga

Jackson and I napped in the office chair while momma got her internet fix. BOL

While at home we did alot of this...

I spent alot of time on the heating pad...I love the warm!

Then Friday night an adopter came by our house to meet Jackson. Momma did all of the application reviewing and proper adoption procedures. While there Mrs. Richards showed momma pictures of her dog Mopsy who is no longer with them. She held Jackson and talked to him. Jackson sniffed her and gave her little poodle kisses. After about an hour momma asked Mrs. Richards if she felt that Jackson was the right dog for her family....She said yes!!! Momma and Grandma both felt this was the best home for him. So Jackson is now living with the Richards Family in Nashville, TN. Guess what...He will get to go hiking, kayaking, biking, and camping...He is one luck dog. Mrs. Richards also brought a jacket, crate, leash and collar just in case things worked out. We heard back from her yesterday morning and she slept in the living room by the fireplace with him and he did alright. Now Jackson has his own family for Christmas!

--------------------
Once Jackson left we thought we were done with dogs in our house...at least for a week or two. Then a car came to our house and dropped off three dogs. This is my worried look!

Luckily they were only staying overnight and will be going onto rescue where they can find their forever families.

----------------
First is Clara a Catahoula Leopard dog. She was so fearful...but sweet as pumpkin pie! Momma just loved her markings.

Then we have low rider...The shelter called him a bassador but momma thinks he is a Stafford shire terrier mix. What ever he was he was sure fun to play zoomies with.

Then we have Mr. Cooper...A boxer mix. Oh grandma just loved this big boy. He was sweet and just loved going on a walk with grandma!

---------------------
They all stayed in the dog room and were crated at night.
-----------------------
As promised a car came to pick them all up this morning...at 6:30. They are on their way up north to freedom!

To Whom it May Concern

Just wanted to post and let everyone know we are out the Doggy Nanny's house using her internet as our internet box died Monday. We are dying to catch up with our blog friends and see what they did this past weekend. We must go back home and wait for the man in the brown truck to bring the new internet box.

The Weather in KY

Out of nowhere it turned cold on us again. Yesterday the high was 28...Yes you read right the HIGH was 28. Today it is only supposed to get in the 30's.

So yesterday we broke out the sweaters again. And we're off!

Zoomies up the driveway on the way back from the pee mail box. Nothing good...just a newsletter from momma's dog tag group.

As momma was talking to me Jackson was watching, plotting...

....and putting into motion his plan.

Then we did zoomies through the yard...Bobo was doing his "business" and had to catchup.

Bobo and I did some porch sitting/snoopervising...Then we went inside because it was doggone cold outside!!!

--------------------

We watched the evening news and it is only expected to get into the low 40's and turn colder as the week goes on. Looks like the sweaters are here to stay!

--------------------

This sign should explain it all...

We will be back on Sunday with an exciting post full of great pictures!
