Quilt City USA!

Hello furiends! Today I would like to tail you a tail of my adventure to the Paducah, KY Quilt Show! Every year at the end of April Paducah, KY hosts the annual quilt show. Expert quilters bring the quilts to be judged. They even win pretty ribbons. There are tons of fabric vendors and that is where most people spend their time. On the news they say that Paducah doubles its population during the quilt show. How cool is that! Pauducah is also home to the Quilt Museum.
(Bobo was spending the day with the Doggy Nanny)

First we stopped by the AMM (Automatic money machines) and got some money.

Then we hit the down town area!

These ladies were nice enough to take their picture with me...but it seems momma cut their head out of the picture...BOL

Here is me and Lilac posing by the quilt museum. Biggify to see us...We are very tiny next to the big sign.

Look at this lil blankie...Awww its a puppy!

Momma got lotsa inspiration by the quilts that lined the walls of the fabric stores.

I liked watching the quilters go by with big bags of material.

Many of them put their bags down to stop and say hello to me!

Momma found lots of unique dog fabric. She also found lots of fabric that will make some barktastic collars!

After hitting all of the stores I got furry tired.

Yet once we hit the outdoor restaurant I perked back up! I even got a few bites.

After filling our bellies we hit two more stores.

Momma just loved this quilt!

Look at all the fabric she bought!

Alright I am most tired and must take a nap in my crate. Later I will drag out all the fun fabric momma bought and show all of you.

Wags and Licks,
Mollie Jo & Bobo

  1. Our Mom has always wanted to go to that quilt show!! And you were there - maybe next year she'll plan a trip - the drive is just a bit longer for us that it is for you, but Lilly and Carrleigh are both natives of Paducah!

  2. Looks like you had fun! Is BoBo bored by quilt shows? I guess there probably were a lot more females there than males! He probably stayed home and watched sports on TV.

You might want to check out my friend's new blog - she is very into quilting. I will send her the link to your blog too! http://barbscatsandquilts.blogspot.com/

  8. Quilts can be total works of art. That looks like a fantastic place where it would be hard to hang on to your wallet.
