Trial Therapy Dogs

After Doggy Nanny dropped of Uncle Puppy she called from work and asked Momma if she would mind bringing us in to visit the people at her work.

Of course to be able to go we had to have a bath....To conserve water momma made us take a bath together.

I blame the little one for this torture!

After we dried off we hopped in the car and headed into town. We arrived at Parkview a local nursing home where Doggy Nanny works. She is a human groomer there and gives the residents fancy new do's!

Heading inside

There was lots of odd items in the halls.

We sniffed each item to make sure they were safe.

We stopped by many rooms and the people petted us! We loved that!

We heard lots of strange noises too.

Sorry there are no pictures of Uncle Puppy visiting....Doggy Nanny had him.

We all had a super duper time and hope they will allow us back for another visit!

On the way home momma said we have to make another stop.

Hmmm....To the Petsmart....To the park...Oh the suspence is killing me!

As frankie would say OH CAT CRAP! Not the vets office again. Thankfully no needles were used. We only were there to check out weights.

Uncle Puppy is a big ol' 6.5 pounds. He is up a whole 1/2 pound since getting his booster shot. Since Mollie has been sick and on a special diet she has gone down to 10.1 pounds. That is about 1.4 pounds less than before she was sick. I have been keeping my manly figure and staying at a nice 16.6 pounds.

We noticed this sign on the side of Dr. Flanary's office. The Pomeranian it is refering to is Dr. Flanary's beloved Bitsy. We met her once at a party...She is a sweet girl!

Wags and Licks,

Bobo

Note from the momma: I was a bit worried taking both Mollie and Bobo with me today to the nursing home. I didn't know how they would react to the sights, smells and noises. They both surprised me and never flenched. I am so proud of them and actually thinking of making them official therapy dogs. Do any of your pawrents know where I would begin? Thanks!

  7. MachoMan and I used to visit nursing homes. First we had to take a basic Obedience class then a Canine Good Citizen class. Macho was a big 65 lb poodle so best to make sure he knew how to behave and follow directions. Your little poo-kids should be ok if they act friendly, well mannered and don't frighten anyone. Then it's usually at the discretion of the home managers. Visiting is very rewarding for all involved :)
