Colorful Lizards, Cleaning Collars and Eye Drops!

Here are a few highlights from the past few weeks!

We have a new friend that has been spotted more than once around our porch.  He is a fast little blue tailed lizard. Isn't he the cutest?!?

Some of our collars have been getting dingy so Buttercup helped us wash them by paw.  Tide works great to get them looking brand new and smelling fresh!

While giving me one of my numerous skunk related baffs momma noticed my right eye, which has a cataract, was red when my left eye was not.  So she had Dr. Flanary take a look at it.  Dr. Flanary stained my eye green to look for a scratch or ulcer but found nothing and determined the redness came from my cataract making my eye inflamed.  So now I has to have drops at bed time.  In one week I will have to have my eye rechecked.  Getting old is no fun! :(

Skunk-ified Country Poodles

Our time in skunk jail was long and hard mentally!  We were forced to eat our meals, snacks and sleep in skunk jail!  We spent 23 hours locked up cause we stunk. We only got out a few times a day to go outside LEASHED to pee.  They were horrible conditions!  And it gets worse...

All of our beds and toys were taken from us!!!

Momma handled us with gloves, spayed the room with air freshner ALOT and caked our furs with baking soda/dawn/vinegar/peroxide mixtures!

The night we got sprayed we got sprayed we were loaded up in the car, and forced to sit on the mudflap, and hauled to the clinic for our first bath.  So as a result our car stunk!  Momma emptied bottles of lysol into it but nothing helped except a ton of airing out!  Only now a month later its finally quit smelling.

In the rush to get us to the clinic for a baff momma forgots to take out out stroller and well it stunk too.  Took a wee for it to air out but smells fine now! :) Thank dog cause what is a mature poodle like me supposed to do with no stroller!?!?!

Momma's heart sank once she realized our tags, rubits and collars smelled!  Bobo's worse than mine as he took a direct hit...I just got a mild spray.  BOL There is an up side to not being first at everything!  ;)  But a 2 week soak in vinegar, dawn, baking soda and peroxide saved both collars, both rubits and our name tags.  Our soft plastic homeagain tags sadly were goners and were tossed away!

And after many scenes like this one....

We are free country poodles once again.

Since Bobo did take the bigger hit he still kinda smells if he gets wet but its mild.  Not like the first night.

Ewww I think he got a wiff of himself! :)

Shake it off brother!  It feels good!

Oh my poodle doodles!

Brother says it wasn't worth this much baff time to chase a wild animal!

Momma hopes we has learned our lesson and threatens that if we do it again we will be sleeping outside.  I don't think she is serious but ya never knows!

Non stinky Wags and Licks,
Mollie and Bobo

Note From the momma: They only had to spend 72 hours in jail.  Mollie Got released first and that depressed Bobo to the extreme but they both lived.  Im not sure my nose will ever be the same after smelling it but thankfully its all gone!  The vinegar, peroxide, baking soda and dawn mix really did the trick and highly recommend it if your pet get sknunked.  Rub it on the dog and soak the collars/accessories.

A Dental, Bump-ectomy and Bloodwork...Oh My!

It was a chilly day back in January 2013 when we went to work with momma.  Nothing out of the ordinary....except we didn't recieve breakfast before leaving home.  But we were sure momma had something in the diaper bag for us.  So we put our things in lucky cubby #13.

And got tucked into our suite at the clinic.  Buttercup was just hanging out with us in her bag!  What does our kennel card say Bobo?

Dentals and Bump-ectomy's?!?!?  What the heck?!!?!?  We is patients today?!?!?!

Yep we had been tricked!  And it wasn't even Howl-o-Ween! I refused to participate any further in this...Whats that over there?

Oh Poodle Doodles!  Thats a needle and blood catchers!

It was time for our annual bloodwork too.  Oh that momma.  She's a sneaky one!

After they stole all the bloods out of us they returned us to our suite and we felt groggy!  I think that vet tech, Miss Liz, slipped us something funny!

Hello, Buttercup here!  Mollie and Bobo went sleepy night night so I will take over this post from here.  While my poodle friends were being put under anesthesia...I checked out the dental pack.

Mollie's toofers before.

Bobo's toofers before.

Cleaning in process!

After their dentals Bobo had a fatty lump removed from his chest and Mollie had three sebaceous cysts removed from her back and leg.

Post dental Mollie had a wet head and sleepy eyes.

Bobo tried to sit up but was slowly going down....down...down.

Dr. Rushing said they looked good after surgery, prescribed some pain meds and gave mollie her very own cone of shame!

As we left the clinic that night it was snowing!  We didn't get much but it was pretty!!!

When we got home I noticed that the cone of shame was so plain.

So Debbie II  and I looked through the scrapbooking tote and found these super cute stickers and decided to make it a fashion cone!

TaDa!
Im sure every pup will want one!

Recovery went well for the poodles.  Both Mollie and Bobo chewed some of their stitches out (Mollie didn't like wearing her cone much) but Dr. Rushing said it was healed up already so no worry.

We're BAAAACK

Did you miss us?  We missed all of you!  Life has been super duper crazy.  Mommy's working full time, doing pet sitting, caring for us and well she is tired.  But we have finally found some time to blog and we are going to try and blog regularly again.  We have had quite a few adventures since we last blogged.  We will catch you up on them in time but here are some highlights from our regular routine.

Alot of our time is spent doing "goat work".  Mommy is now the Goat Queen.  She handles all the emails, deposits, updates and pick ups of these cute lil goats.  She has sold 46 of the 58 goats born this year to the Flanary Keepsake Farm.

Me and mommy are busy learning all aspects of the clinic.

When mommy is working with the animals we have our own private suite here.  We bring our bed, blankies and treats.  Now if we could just get a TV we would be set!!!!  We're in negotiations on that.

All of the work we do at the clinic does make us furry sleepy.

When we are not at the clinic we can be found riding the golf cart.......

            .....or sitting on the porch.

So now that your caught up on our regular routine we shall get back to cleaning the clinic and letting momma walk dogs. We will be back soon!

Rest in Peace Uncle Puppy

We are sorry that our return to blogging has to be with sad news! Our Uncle puppy made his Journey to the Rainbow Bridge. I know our Aunt Dolly welcomed him open paws and he is running free without worry.
