Ellie Mae's Story

Ellie's story begins with a lil doggie named Olivia. Remember her?

Olivia was passed around once she got pregnant for the second time and finally came here to Mollie's Foundation to get a new leash on life. Well during her time here we reunited her with her puppy named Missy. It was a happy reunion.

After meeting Missy that cold December day we kept up with her via facebook.

A week ago Missy's family contacted us to see if we were interested in Missy because they couldn't afford her vet care. Of course we said yes. Once we picked her up we though she looked more like an Ellie Mae and that is her name now. She was born about the end of September. But no one knows fur sure. So we are going with September 24 2010 making her 8 months old.

We took her to the vet and dropped her off for two days. Hoping that she could get spayed but unfortunatly Dogtor Flanary had a dentist appointment and we had to wait. But she stayed as she needed to be de-flea-ed, de-ticked, vaccinated, and de-wormed. We also heartworm tested her at that time and thank dog she was NEGATIVE! So finally she is all caught up and legal in the state of Ken-Tuck-EE. Look at all the goodies she got from her first vet visit!

Since none of our collars fit this tiny 4.2 pound girl we had to pull out the memory box and get her momma Olivia's old pink collar out. Fit like a glove.

Once we got her home we started brushing her out and she had a few mats.

Then we bathed her.

Whew look at that floofy girlie!

She loves riding in the car...Can you tell which end is her head and which end is her tail?

And she loves going to yard sales.

Since she wasn't too sure bouts the leashes when she came her first voyage on the scooter was in MY basket. Now she walks great on the leash.

Quite content don't ya think?

She was a bit scared of the Rosin horses. The horses though she looked like a marshmallow and were licking their lips.
Ellie says "Boy this is cool!"

And thus explains this picture from yesterday.

So help us in welcoming Ellie Mae!
