Summer Cleaning Leads to a Doggie Room

Last week just as the dust was settling from the spring cleaning we started summer cleaning.  We found bunches of junk to donate.

And bunches of places to nap while momma and grandma did the heavy lifting!

BOL Jiggy you founds a good spot now didn't you?!?!?!?  Jiggles was here for most of it too but was adopted mid way through!!!

When we were cleaning out momma got to thinking....We hate having our studio in the back room with the fabric, our clothes smashed in a box under the sewing machine, and our collars in the living room.  So we bargained with grandma so we could have the little spare bedroom as our doggie room/studio and she could have the larger spare bedroom as her closet room/sewing/fabric room.  She though it was a fair trade and agreed!  So we began the week long task of swapping rooms.  Then we started filling up the shelving unit with our things.  That was one big reason we wanted the little room is it has a huge shelving unit built by Doggy Nanny when she lived here.  Once we added a ten-cents rod voila we have space to hang our clothes!

We put our books, doggie first aid kit and Rufus the doggie bank on the top shelf.

Filled the closet with our doggie bags, props, old scrapbooks, and halloween costumes.

Then we found our winter sweaters and organized them by "nice" sweaters and "outside" sweaters.

Ok we snoopervised via the doggie bed below but made sure momma was doin' it all right!

After many hours and 4 packs of hangers almost all of our clothes made it up on the ten-cents rods.  Don't ya just LOVE looking at them all nice and neat?!?!? We sure do!  We ended up having to buy 4 more packs of hangers and just barely, by the hair of our chins, had enough to hang up all of our clothes!

The other shelves we weren't sure of how to organize so we just piled stuff up there and worked on it bit by bit.

And when the shelves filled up we piled things on the table.

It was at this point I figured it was best to leave the bed under the table and seek shelter in my pink lady cave!

Mid-way through the doggie room redo we went to the groomer and had a special photo session.  You will see those pics soon but to continue with my story of decorating....

After we got our pictures done we had to get them framed so our doggie room would be doggie-rific! (Mollie-ism)

What does that sign say?

Holy poodle doodles!  50% off.  They must have known we needed frames!  Whatta deal!

So went spent literally 875246 hours putting our pictures next to all the frames to see which ones looked best with our fur color....

...and well we found quite a few!  Plus we got a shadows box for grandma's "special project".

Last but not least I picked up this green frame for a special picture I had printed from a few weeks ago.

So you see while momma was dog sitting last week we was busy redecorating!

I promise tomorrow we will have the final results.  Momma had to work yesterday and the day before that had a migrain so we gots a lil behinds.
